"GiveAway" Looking for People to try Weltool holster (Only UK address)

Hm djozz, where does your house live?

Amsterdam, Missouri
Amsterdam, New York
Amsterdam, Ohio

Or maybe Amsterdam, capital of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Thanks.
But no, not in the US I’m in the Netherlands.

@Henk, or am I not in the US after all and live on Amsterdam island, in the southern Indian Ocean? (love to go there once…)

Yes, it is very nice and solid. I appreciate the buckle, sometimes more convenient than velcro which wears, but it is quite thick.
I bought two units of this exact same model several years ago with P60 Xeno flashlights. The holster model name is Xeno HD70, a bit expensive now.

Way better to protect the flashlight and easier to pull it out and put it back than with cheap holsters with elastic bands even if this one is much bigger

I’m in the UK and I’d be happy to test the FH1 with a Convoy S2 or the FH3 with an Acebeam EC50 III (40mm head, 32mm body).

If you gave me a choice, I’d prefer the FH3 please.

Sadly not in the UK but that FH1 does look good.

FH1
I’m uk & would love to try it for my Fenix pd32.

With flashlights head down, my Xeno HD70 ( = FH1 ? ) is perfect for a Xeno G5 (slight friction) and Sofirn SF36. A bit tight (more friction) for a SolarForce L2P with A001 head and too large for a Convoy S2+ (rattle).

SF L2P + A001 : long. 14.1 cm / larg. 3.6 cm
Xeno G5 : long. 13.8 cm / larg. 3.5 cm
Sofirn SF36 : long. 13.2 cm / larg. 3.2 cm
Convoy S2+ : long. 11.9 cm / larg. 3.4 cm

PM sent, thank you Thulium7

PM your address and phone number :) Will soon arrange the shipment.

Where do you live?

Wow, that's a nice photo. And thank you for your information. In fact there is a difference of fabric between Xeno and Weltool FH1. You will see when you have both of them. :)

Pm on its way , thank you.

Any body else in UK?

:)

I'm waiting for you.

Fenix P3D (predecessor to PD32), Also Convoy S2
FH1
I’m in the UK

You are already sending me a FH1 ( thankyou ) , if you don’t get the 5 responses you need for the FH3 ,I have a led lenser P7 it would fit & it looks much better than the lenser pouch , I would gladly take one to help you out

I think these 2 torches are a little small for the holster. If you don't mind the size, I could ship one for you.

:) ok, if I can't get enough participator, I will inform you

Well I received my FH1 holster today from this giveaway, and I’d like to say thank you to Thilium7 for providing the sample.
The holster itself is very well made and would provide a good level of protection for the light stored inside, made of a heavyweight cordura material and lined with a suede like material.
Securing it is a large snap connector, a belt clip with a popper to secure it and a loop on top. This is a nicely made bit of kit.
Those are the positives.

Sadly there are more negatives than positives, for me at least and the lights I tried it with.
Due to the nature of it’s construction, no elastic and very limited length top closure it actually didn’t fit any of my lights well, and anything with a ‘head’ it wont fit at all. Therefore the number of lights this will fit is quite small - it has no give or adjustment.
The two that did fit in, were rattling around inside and not held securely. The only lights this is going to fit properly are fatter straight ones without a wider head, since there is no elastic to stretch or hold things firmly.
Like I said, for a specific model of light it would be fine, but since I don’t have any I can’t tell you what they would be! Depending on how you look at it it’s either a good thing, or a bad thing. Good in the respect it would fit a specific light like a glove, but it has to be an exact fit for that to be the case. Bad in the respect it supports only a narrow selection of lights that will properly fit inside.
I often use my holsters for a range of lights, so this is of no use at all for my circumstances. This is more like a ‘box’ than a holster. Perhaps having an adjustable flap on top where it joins to the clip or on the bottom half of the clip may have helped, though even then the flap has some sort of stiff board inside so wont bend over the top.
The Xtar TZ28 holster on the other hand fitted every one, with only the X6 Se and X1R having slight movement inside, but it still fitted them better than the Weltool one.
So, would I recommend it? hmmm, not really. There are too many limitations no room adjustment at all.
If I got it supplied with a particular light I’d bought that it fitted properly, then great, it’s really well made and would be useful.
Would it protect it better than another holster ? probably not. In fact the elasticated ones hold the light away from the sides by gripping it in the middle of the holster thereby giving it a bit of extra protection if dropped as the sides are wider. If you dropped a light in the Weltool holster the side of you light would be offered little protection as it’s in direct contact with the sides of the holster.
I’m sorry if this all sounds a little negative, it’s just an honest review based on the lights I own - but if you had an exact fitting light it would be good, though I’d still rather have one with a little adjustment.
I would say put elastic in both sides and also lower them allowing for a ‘head’, put adjustment straps on the clip (only short ones) and remove the board from the flap - then it would fit a much wider range of lights.
Oh and Henk, there is no way your C8 will fit in this!

I tested it on 5 different lights - The photos with the open clip wouldn’t even come near to being able to close.
Xtar TZ28
BLF X6 SE
A BLF special , for the life of me I can’t remember the name of it……
Eagle Eye X1R
Astrolux S41

The next photo’s show the Xtar holster, you can see how the elastic helps.

Hi, G0OSE. Thank you for this detailed feedback and the advice. I will think about the adjustment problem. These 2 lights, will they fit? A little loose?

Yes, they fit fine, but there is quite a bit of slack so they wobble around - it’s not a bit problem though. If I had the choice of them wobbling around or held firmly, I would choose being held firmly - but that’s just my opinion, others may have different ideas of course.
Also where the flap is stiff and has no adjustment it wont pull down firmly to hold them so they also go up and down inside, as well as side to side. The buckle is more of a problem than a help. I would put velcro down the front of the pouch, have a longer flap and remove the stiff board inside, then it could adjust to any length - with the buckle it is a set length, so really restricts it fitting a range of lights.
Like I said this is fine if you intend to use it with a light that is ‘made for’ the holster, ie supply it with a particular light, but if you intend it for use with a range of lights it is too restrictive all round. More form than function!

I am in UK.
PM me.
