ToyKeeper:
MtnElectronics sells drivers with Crescendo, and also sells the rest of the parts needed to build a light. Basically, get parts for a Convoy S2+ plus a driver, and put them together.
Or most modders on BLF could make it, if you don’t want to solder the parts together. It’s a very easy build, as far as these things go.
Indeed it was an easy build.
I have found it would be better with a forward clicky switch and (maybe not…) slightly slower ramp speed, but overall I am really liking it. I will probably make a triple S2+ now…
Ohhh… I’ve been bit by the build bug… my wife is gonna hate this. :person_facepalming:
:smiling_imp: Now you’ll start spending real money :money_mouth_face:

Really like this light.
What was the pre sale price?
You can recompile the firmware to change the ramp speed… and some other things.

These colorful models all look very nice!
How do you get such vivid and complex colors?
The dark grey ones look good too, and would probably look even better and better as they age.
You can try to get purple or pink if you grow the oxid layer with controlled heat.

A basic budget guide to anodize Titanium!
Do you have a titanium light sitting on your shelf, and give it a make over...
You probably have most of the stuff already at home to do this....
What you need:
A bunch of 9V batteries
Pepsi coke
piece of cloth
Alligator clips
jar/can that will work as a bath
rubber hand gloves
And last but not least, something made of Titanium
(I deleted Tape and Jumpers because of DBCstm…
Pink titanium flashlight should be 70V
Nice instructions: bob_titanium
I gues for the pattern they use a kind of stamp pressen on the body.
Some Acebeam Ti lights with pattern seem to had a resistive heat wire wrapped around.

I believe the machined, bead blasted and stone washed finish pre sale price was $99 for the Nichia LED version and $109 for the XP-L HI one. The extra charge for the artsy anodized finishes was ~$50 and trits were $6 each plus installation, same as the current offering.
