Both 3200K and 5600K versions have 60 degrees leds and that is clearly mentioned close to the top of the OP, including a beamshot comparing them to a 45 degrees Yuji led (but that one is wrongly called a 30 degrees led, sorry about that). Is that good enough?
Indeed, it is, and I missed it as it was in the first paragraph of the quote [Update 2018-10-29 (Update from djozz)]!
Guess that should be enough Thanks mate !! :+1:
See, I told you people would correct me lol. There's no problem with Yuji LED being sold out currently, so people can calm down. Even after the first run of 2000 lights are sold out Sofirn can make more if there's a demand for it. So grab one when they are ready.
As has been stated many times, there is no ‘sign up list’ per se. Members were asked to add their names to an interest list in hopes of convincing Sofirn that the project was worth while. Now that Sofirn has created the lights, they are first come first served on their store at Aliexpress.
At the moment, the first batch of production has sold out, but more are on the way. A total of 2000 lights will be produced, half for each of the two CCI options.
Well, almost. People who are on the list do not seem to get their lights earlier than others but there is some discount for them when they mention their BLF username during the ordering process. If Sofirn actually checks the interest list before giving the discount I don’t know.
In the meantime it is now waiting for Sofirn to get the C01 back in stock again, I have no info on that.
There seems to be a lot of confusion and misinformation here about whether or not the LED Sofirn is using has been discontinued. Can someone, perhaps djozz, clear some of this up?
At a minimum, they are still in stock, except for the 3200K, 45 degree version.
Whether Yuji will have additional batches made once those sell out remains to be seen, but if Sofirn decides they want to produce more lights than they have LED’s for, they can currently order them.
I vote for iamlucky13’s answer as closest to what seems going on, although Barry persists that they are already discontinued now and that Sofirn can not make a new batch after these 2000.
FYI, I do intend to keep updating the list until the planned 2000 are complete, just in case Sofirn checks user names before granting discounts. It will probably be after the US Thanksgiving holiday before I have much time to sit down and do it, however.
