I now have 3 Wuben TO46R lights with different emitters in all 3. I replaced all the emitters because the factory Wuben LEDs are horrible, cold blue- definitely not the 90 CRI LEDs claimed on the box.
But I really like the design of these lights and I’m looking forward to the TO50R. I just hope Wuben doesn’t pull a bait and switch with the LEDs on the TO50R like they do with the TO46R.

Yea I really hope this will be available before 2019. I will buy a few of them because the 4x Carclo optic compatibility makes this easy for modding. I really hope Wuben don’t glue any threads or I might not buy it.

What’s the latest on the charging port? Since Wuben already uses USB-C in the A21, will the TO50R also have it?

It’s 99% sure that it will be Micro-USB. We decided so because of better availability -> being able to charge the light “everywhere”.
USB-C is the future, but unfortunately, the Micro-USB availability is still way higher.

Only failure availibility seems to be better with micro USB, I’d say
