I’m interested in a portable power station that will be more portable than my current solution of lugging a heavy deep cycle battery and connecting a small inverter. Amazon has a bunch with both prices and quality all over the map. Something smaller in the 150 to 200 watt range will address the limited needs I have for a nice integrated unit like this.
Jackary is a good brand name, so many others I don’t recognize. A feature I’d really like is an easy way for the consumer to replace the cells as surely they will eventually go bad 3 to 5 years I’m thinking.
They are pretty cool RC. It’s like a portable generator but without the engine, it uses a battery to store power instead of a engine running a electric motor. I have been thinking about one for a while too so I am going to keep an eye on this thread.
I know this is an older thread but I use the Goal Zero Yeti 1000. Yes it was very expensive around 1200.00 at the time from COSTCO, but it is great and its anything but light, 40lbs. Its nice to have while camping and with 1045 watt hours it gets the job done. It’s now a few years old and still going strong.
FWIW I went with a Jackery model 240. It fits the bill for the limited power output I needed. I found there are many products In this space, Jackery and Goal Zero being 2 of the bigger names. They cost more than lesser known names but seem to offer more reliable support and better warranties.
The Rockpals 300w can be found sometimes on Vipon for around 120-150. I’ve been using it as a CPAP backup for over a year and a half now and have only needed to utilize it in 3 brownouts but it performed impeccably. It will run my Resmed Autoset 10 for over a night with humidifier turned ON or 3 nights with humidifier OFF. My first unit had charging problems but they overnighted a replacement. Solid product, IMHO.
