make sure you increase print by 15% as it will be too small for the pl47 general print settings 20% infil an ).2 res… but works a treat… I used the head bands strips from the epic failed ones that came with ou pl47s. Feels very secure… Should work nicely…
The silicone one is a tight fit, but it works. I don’t know if that hard plastic headband you linked would work, the diameter of the PL47 is larger than the Wizard.
Has anyone tried to attach it to their head with duct tape?
A wise man said you can fix anything with duct tape. If you can’t, you’re not using enough duct tape.
I saw a young man walking with Some duct tape and I asked him where are you going with that duct tape. he says I’m gonna catch some ducks. I said you can’t catch no ducks with duct tape. he says, you don’t know what you’re talking about and walked off.
I saw him a few hours later with a bunch of ducks caught in the duct tape. I said “wow, that’s amazing!!”
The Next day I saw the kid walking past my house with chicken wire. I asked him where you going with that chicken wire he says, I’m gonna catch some chickens. I said you can’t catch no chickens with chicken wire. He shook his head at me and says “yeah yeah yeah. you don’t know what you’re talking about.
couple hours later he comes back as a whole crap load of chickens caught up in the chicken wire. I said wow that’s amazing!
The 3rd day i saw him walking past my house with pussywillow in his back pocket. I shouted to him, “Hold up! Let me get my coat!!!”
From some photos I saw earlier, it looks as if FF haven’t used retaining rings for the driver or the tail PCB, but are just relying on contact between the ends of the tube and the PCB surfaces. Perhaps there is no other current path, hence the sensitivity to cell dimensions ?
Since I don’t have one, this is just supposition by me.
Seems to make sense to me, but then shouldn’t everyone with a glued-in magnet under the tail cap PCB have the same over-tightening issue? If not, perhaps there is a flaw in my tail-cap. It will be interesting to hear feedback as others receive their PL47’s.
I hate to waste things so I found a use for the rather Sh*te headband mount…
works a treat… I just removed the loop where headband that goes over top of head is…. I found it seemed to get caught on things when it was still present.
