Based on how quickly Neal is getting things done lately, it seems there’s a good chance that purchases could start sometime this month.
Exciting!
Will it be shipped from China?
Will it be shipped from China?
Yes, assuming it’s coming from Shenzhen where Lumintop is located. I don’t see them shipping all the lights to a different location first, then shipping out to the world.
Well, this is nice…
I received a response from Digikey’s quote department, and a special one at that
Guess this is why it took about 1 week for a responses.
We have gotten quite lucky. They were able to confirm the availability for the T2/T4/T5 chromacity bin with a custom bulk order, although with only a reference bin for the brightness bin(Q6), which is probably going to be lower than what we have now.
Here’s an Excel document with more detail on the quote. Go on full right to see the confirmation of tint chromacity bin:
Google Drive file.
Thanks BlueSwordM, I’ll pass that along to Neal in case he hasn’t already made an order.

Are you planning to order any or is this just for reference? Are they able to guarantee a specific tint bin selection from the ones you asked about?
I am interested, count me in!
@BobmcBob, that’s the problem.
They were able to guarantee a specific chromacity bin range if we do a large custom order
That means we can get the T2/T4/T5 tint bin, but not a specific one if we order them individually.
That means only a company like Lumintop can get below BBL bins, not us little guys
Still, it would be awesome if I could get my hands on at least one of these.
I will send another email to Digi-Key if we can get a specific chromacity BIN ORDER CODE confirmed and order it, or at least a sample.
Please add two to my previous order.
Interested in two.
if there are 2 variants of LEDs, please one each.
I have already posted this in the German TLF, but the tread does not seem to live anymore.
Same for me I already mentioned in the German TLF to buy one (or two), if there will be two variants, than I want both otherwise one is enough for me.
Interested in one (LH351D)
Put me down for 2 please!
Interested in 1 please
i’m in for 1 light
btw, i’ve heard that you can customize the driver, with your phone, is it true?

Nope.
You can change menu settings using the rear button or reflash the driver by removing it and putting a reprogramming clip on it. Usual stuff.

Well, in theory, after making firmware with that feature, yes. The driver has an “optic nerve” to allow it to sense light. But it’s not actually used in the stock firmware.

Thanks!
interested in one LH351D

looks interesting, what about 21700 batteries, any idea to support those?
