There aren't a lot of these around - most are sold as headlamps and aren't all that cheap.
Apart from the price, a Zebralight H50 sounds like what you are looking for, the Ultrafire is cheaper and has a ramping driver which is better than the Zebralight. I have an 18650 one coming when HK Post get their act together. It was ordered over a month ago, but my last DX parcel took 7 weeks.
The only 18650 ones I know of are the Ultrafire UF-H3 and the Zebralight one. The Ultrafire is $33 from Manafont and the Zebralight is around $80. There probably are others but I don't know what they are.
Elektrolumens will sell you a modded 2D angle head light with an LED in it.
I have the Ultrafire UF-H2 in the mail (possibly two of them in the mail, due to a shipping/tracking problem that HKP created) and I will do a thorough review as soon as possible.
How can you tell? Maybe I don’t know what to look for yet. Would be neat though. I thought everbuying was on the “poop-list” of resellers…but at that price I may have to order one.
If the OSRAM is well driven probably it will be one veeeery good deal, because as it uses Li-ion batt probably is direct driven (no circuitry) and if it has good heatsinking it will be powerfull enough, similar than other alternantives with OSRAM. Floody beam.
And, if you see carefully, the OSRAM of that light has 2 divisions. The worst OSRAMs are the ones with 5 divisions. So.... I am thinking to buy one. Pity only 1 mode
ALSO I can see that it has some kind of very small convex lens in the front, making it even more floody. It is only my guess? the LED is magnified, so it has a mini convex lens or not?
CREE and OSRAMs are very different. Is easy to differeciate between cree/osram/ssc/luminus. However differenciate between Q3 Q4 R2 is not possible without equipment
