Zebralight SC64c LE w/High CRI Nichia 219B R9080 $150

Good to hear that things are moving along on the project.

First came Selfbuilt to foster our addiction, open my eyes to Nichias, and catch certain manufacturers with their pants down.
To think my major heroes on the other side of Lake Erie used to all be Hockey Stars!
My first three ‘real’ flashlights were all Zebralights.
Never bought another, or any lottery tickets since then.
Talented businessman-SuperEngineer George Yo (ZL ’s tint-shift oblivious head honcho) has a professed preference for Green and CREEns…now there is no great need for him to be bothered by those with other predilections. He can rely on the confidence of CREEn and Samsung binning while McBob protects him from a good portion of Enthusiasts, and FF soaks up huge slices of the market available for those who build flashlights primarily for what others are looking for.

Started doing shipping today and realized PayPal doesn’t include the phone number that is required for international shipments :person_facepalming:

PMs incoming!

PM’d you My Phone Number.
Cheers Canada.

Phone number PM’d, thanks alot Bob_McBob.

Well after that little delay I’m happy to say I shipped the first light today!

Two more lights ready to ship today :sunglasses:

I had a slight issue with the circle cutter I bought for dc-fix (the Olfa). The little part that comes with it to protect the middle of the material from the compass needle is just a thin piece of plastic with anti-slip material, and it doesn’t hold up well to a steel needle being pressed into it, so I’ll need to jury-rig an alternative. Precision cutting is very important because if the dc-fix is undersized even a tiny bit it’s visible in the beam. I’m not sure how many people are actually going to use it, but I definitely want the option available for everyone.

Thanks for the update! If we weren’t interested in DC Fix that shouldn’t hold our light up, right?

Everyone in the first batch should have received a shipping notice from PayPal by now unless you were contacted separately. Please let me know if you didn’t receive anything. I will be dropping off the rest of the lights at the post office today. The first one I shipped looks like it will be arriving by the end of the week, so I’m excited to hear user feedback.

I was able to solve the d-c fix cutting issue by making my own part to hold the compass needle from acrylic along with some high friction adhesive discs I bought from Lee Valley. Much better than the piece of crap Olfa gives you!

I want to say again how much I appreciate everyone’s patience since the first batch took longer than expected. Most of the extra time was making sure I had all the orders straight, had all the parts I needed, and just developing more consistent processes for modding a bunch of lights rather than working my way through a single one for my personal use. I’m about to order a second batch of SC64cs and I should be able to ship them within a few days of accepting an order.

Mine was delivered Tuesday, but it is wrapped sitting under the Christmas tree. I’m counting the days… I know its gonna be great.

could you be a true flashaholic then???

Wow, that was quick! Merry Christmas

Thanks Sir Bob.

I want one, please — one of the 45s.

I think at this point all doubt has been removed.

I just tidied up the OP a lot but left a shadow copy in case anyone wants to see the previous version. I’ve been having issues getting more lights to mod from Zebralight in a timely fashion so I just ordered 5 x SC64c from Amazon that should be here within a few days. I’m in the process of contacting people who have expressed interest in getting one, but please let me know if I miss you.

Edit: Wow, all five lights taken already! I’ll look into getting some more tomorrow so please continue to let me know if you’re interested.

.yes sir . Interested in a 45. Thanks

Invoices for the second batch are all sent. Please let me know if I made any mistakes with your LED/shipping selections.

Light Received !.
Need the kids to sleep so I can try this out in peace and happiness lol…
