Massive post on where to get lithium-ion batteries everywhere in the world! Look at Post 2-5 for info, And Canada Post 123

Almost certain they state on their website that they do NOT ship overseas.

They do ship… if you can actually pay for it

Ships to europe and UK

Soooo, UPDATE

I finally received my 18650s from the Aliya Battery Store: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1382210?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.7a5b23dbkNLBYu

And I can say that they are truly genuine, and arrived on time to Canada!

Proofs and pictures of legitimacy:

1. They all weigh the same, around 45,9g and 47,2g.

2. The NCR18650GAs have the protruding flat top, and the Samsung 30Qs have a 3 pole positive terminal. No problem there.

3. The voltage of all 30Qs is 3,41V, and 3,51V for the NCR18650GAs. So, conform to shipping regulations.

Capacities will be tested later this week, along with internal resistance.

@BlueSwordM

I ordered a day after you did and also received my order today. Interesting that the sender’s address is in Greensboro, NC, USA. Not that it really matters but it seems that Aliya is using an intermediary (?) address in the US that later ships to Canada through USPS. No big deal as long as the cells are genuine, which seem to be the case.

Ahhh, so that was why there was a DHL Packet sticker and a USPS note.

Thank you

What cells did you order?

6x 30Qs and 6x VTC6s. These are my first VTC6s so I cannot compare, but the 30Qs physically look the same as the others I got from BG in the past (haven’t done testing yet).

I used these guys in the UK last week

EcoLux: http://www.ecoluxshopdirect.co.uk/

All good, no problems.

So, now, some capacity tests!

I’m using my own battery holder with my own large Beryllium Copper spring, which allows accurate capacity testing up to 3A without a 4 wire method.

-I first started testing the NCR18650GA at 2A current, with a charge voltage of 4,185V and ending voltage of 2,6V.

Capacity at 2,6V, being 3308mAh.

Energy at 2,6V, being 11,56Wh.

Capacity at 2,8V to compare with HKJ.

Nothing checks out, so I can confidently say NCR18650GAs from the Aliya Battery Store are legit

-For the Samsung 30Q, it has been tested at 3A, with an ending voltage of 2,6V and charge voltage of 4,191V.

Capacity at 2,6V, being 2963mAh.

Energy at 2,6V, being 10,28Wh.

Capacity at 2,8V, being 2865mAh.

Energy at 2,8V, being 10,05Wh.

With the tests in mind, I can confidently say that the Samsung 30Q from Aliya Battery Store is legitimate

To end on a final note, my results are quite precise, with good accuracy, but on each of the tests, I did not account for the voltage drop of 0,05V during the tests because of the XT60 connectors and wiring, which may slightly have affected energy tests due to lower overall voltage on discharge.

Therefore, all batteries from the Aliya Battery Store, as of December 2018, are all considered legitimate, can be ordered from the link below:

Can these cells be used where button tops are specified?

In most cases, yes.

But not all cases are positive. Still better than other flat tops though.

Too bad they don’t sell button tops.

@BlueSwordM, do you know if these raised flat tops would work in a Meteor M43 or the 26650 in a DQG Tiny 26650?

Thanks for all the info and testing.

The raised flat tops NCR18650GAs work in my BLF Q8, so it would work in the Meteor M43.

Awesome, thanks!

Struggling to find any reliable store to ship to South Africa since Banggood stopped again.
I now have more flashlights/powerbanks than batteries, a sad state of affairs.
I have tried all the recommended international ones in this thread, no luck so far.
Anyone have any ideas?

INTERNAL RESISTANCE TESTING FOR THE SAMSUNG 30Q :smiling_imp:

Here is a chart with some DC internal resistance values.

The 30Q has 21mOhms of internal resistance according to this graph.

And with my measurement, a minimum measured DC internal resistance of 21mOhm!

Right on spec! Actually, better than most 30Qs.

I can therefore say again, that the 30Q from the Aliya Battery Store is a legit cell.

So, for Canadians all around the country, you can be assured to get legitimate cells from Aliya’s Battery Store. It does take about a month, so not too bad from China at all:

Very useful information.
Can you edit the first post in this thread and mark the verified stores with for example “Legit”?

:+1: :+1:

Unfortunately, it looks like Aliya’s Battery Store has recently been severely cutting back on their selection.
Hopefully this isn’t an ill omen regarding their continued existence…
