OSRAM CSLNM1.TG & CULNM1.TG 1mm², CSLPM1.TG & CULPM1.TG 2mm²

So is the XPL HI dead now?

For intensity yeah.
It does have higher efficiency and lower colour temperatures though for people that want that.

I changed the 2mm2 white flat (so not the throwier 1mm2 version that has a bit too low output I think for this light) in my mini-GT for a dedomed XP-G2 3D because of the much better tint, I do not like the very cool tint. It costed me just 15kcd.

The XP-L Hi comes in many tints but I was unfortunate to never have found a tint that was really great.

The GT mini has a FET 4.5A driver. Does this mean it’s direct drive or constant current? I want to use this led but don’t know if the stock driver will work.

Direct Drive. The XP-L HI it uses wont draw as much current as these two LEDs. You can use low drain batteries if you really want to do it

I don’t know where you read that the driver outputs “4.5A” but the whole point of a FET is that it will pull basically all the current the battery can provide (minus the resistance of the circuit in the host and driver).

The first announcement of the Mini-GT was about a 4,5A FET driver…

I don’t think you’ll get 4.5 Amperes with a buck driver on an XP-L (HI).

Fooling around using a Osram White Flat vs a Ledil Seanna optic and a MF04s reflector

:D

Wow. That looks nice in the MF04S reflector!

With 2 18350 its possible to use my Buck driver regulated

unfortunately I only have a GT and a MF04S

I cannot kill one of them...

That’s a good video showing how bad that ledil lens is.
So much wasted and scattered light.
A single surface aspheric lens is the way to go.

Some ppl are saying you can DD this led (1mm) and some are saying you can’t. I’m really confused. If I use a keeppower protected 3500mah in a GT mini how much current will it draw?

for DD the current with full cell needs to be below 4.5A, so some older cells like NCR18650B with PCB may do only 4.5A when full
also you may try to solder simply a 1W 47mOhms resistor on each contact on the MCPCB to get the current limited

you need to check with a clamp meter

That quote says “regulated buck driver”…

IDK how they managed to get that into the manual though lol.

The GT mini Manual mostly copied from the GT manual and Lumintop made a mistake that they written buck driver. It is not a buck driver. it is a fet+7135.

Finally got my few white flat (CSLNM1.TG) builds sorted. All now using L4P LD-A4 drivers set to 5.5a

Measurements at 20’

Convoy L2 with single liitokala black: 407,659 candela, 720 startup lumens
Cometa with liitokala black: 333,708 candela, 780 startup lumens (zoomed in for sphere)
Convoy C8 with 30Q: 219,623, 720 startup lumens

Had to sand the centering rings down to adjust focus on the c8 and l2 a little. I’m still not 100% happy with it, but I think it is nearly right.

Very NICE! :+1:

I thought there was a problem with that driver getting to hot?
