A friend of mine that uses the HG2 also thought that read was low, he expected it to be as good or better than the 30Q. I have two of these, neither are very used cells, but not new either. The 30Q in this test was brand new, first time charged. Iāll recharge both HG2ās I have and test them both again to see if I just got something wrongā¦
Wieselflinkpro, I think SolderingIron is still a subsidiary Country located in the great Sahara, as a high desert country itās population is low so shipping quotes may be difficult to find. Nice try though!
A recap on the LG cellsā¦With both of my LG HG2 cells fresh off the charger I see 16.7A and 17.0A from the two cells as tested before on the 458 Hamār.
I got delivery with some drivers from @Lexel today.
I modded the following flashlights:
- Astrolux MF04S with 8A Narsil Buck-Driver and Mod of battery-carryer. For the battery-carryer I used copper foil instead of a wire to make the new connection.
- Sklilhunt H03 with 3 channel FET + 7 + 1 Narsil
- Haikelite MT09R XHP35HI Sand/Tan with 7,5A Narsil Buck-Driver (for sale in TLF in the next days)
Better he is hungry as he is thirsty. Without food you can survive more days as without something to drink.
Language barriers, Aaaaagghh!
My favorite flashlight of all time. The Streamlight SL20X.
I think I finally did it right. Direct drive. XHP50.2 5700K
My favorite flashlight of all time. The Streamlight SL20X.
After a couple of attempts, I think I finally did it right. Direct drive. XHP50.2 5700K.
Raw aluminum version
Original Incandescent vs LED Drop In. Camera on full manual, same settings.
For 18650, VTC5D and 25S... The Best!
I got 30T's and 40T's - need to compare head to head.
You milled the adaptor?
Yes. On my new-to-me 1996 Milltronics Vertical Machining Center (which is really pis*ing me off) . Anyone here know Java Script? I need a translator. This old dog only has a couple of tricks left to learn and Java Script is NOT one of them.
Orsm video Bucket. Thanks for posting it up. Your enthusiasm is infectious and ability amazing. I have no doubt you will be on top of the programming soon. Maybe it will be a xmas present to you.
You are seriously in a class above the rest of us here.
I knew you would like the video
Bucketās the only guy I know that can carve a reflector out of bar stock without using a CNC machine.
Ok guys, my forgetfulness has me stumped on this oneā¦. I have a little X5 with an AHorton aspheric on it, it uses Bistro with a 14500 cell but I canāt identify the emitter! Itās on a mtnelectronics 20mm MCPCB, sliced and diced, the substrate should clue yāall in as to what it is. I donāt recognize it to save my lifeā¦
Can anybody tell me what emitter this is?
No bond wires, no dotās like on the Cree or Luminus emitters, itās not a Samsung LH351D, itās not a Nichia 219C, I just donāt recognize the dark grey/black substrateā¦ ceramic no doubt but what is it?
Is it a luxeon V? I donāt have any of those but that is another recent flip-chip LED.
Edit: no, looks like the luxeon V has phosphor covering the whole package where in your it looks like it stops at the die.
I probably ādicedā it when I sliced the dome off, when I do a vertical cut to remove phosphor from the substrate around the die I call it dicing, as itās reminiscent of dicing onions or whatever.
Slicing and dicing
I donāt remember ever having bought a Luxeon V though. I know I got my first mtnelectronics 20mm stars not all that long ago (ok, could have been a year or even two, my memory, you know, but I donāt think Richard has had his own MCPCBās that longā¦. I could be wrong about that too.)
At any rate, this emitter being on an mtnelectronics star kind of dates itā¦ to some degree.
I thought the substrate would give it away, need to look through the multitudes of emitters that CRX has documented I guessā¦
Any pictures of your home made threading tool?
The LH351C or LH351D looks like it. The lower right corner angled like that appears to be a good match.
