convoy m1 and m2

Also the L6 got SMO reflector option with XHP70.2 and output bumped to 4300 lumens. And L2 will get XHP50.2 led and new driver for it.

Hope M1 and M2 has better dust proof than C8+.
My S2+ has good dust seald reflector, but can not say same for C8+.

Thank you for this info!

I’ve been waiting for an L6 with a 70.2 and in clear finish

I'm tempted to get either the M1 or M2 with the new emitter and the updated firmware. XM-L2 with 3 modes versions were not worth getting since 2015 IMO. Very happy to see these models make a "comeback"

Even with the old XM-L2, an M1 with Biscotti is amazing. I have one and love it to pieces.

Biscotti is more important than the type of LED to me as well! Although it feels "wrong" when an S2+ with XP-L HI out-throws an OP XM-L2 M1 with its larger head.

didnt the m1 have the same nice matt black ano that the L6 had. does look different on this picture.

Is it really a newly designed reflector? Looks like a 5050 size opening to me, like the only difference is that it’s SMO instead of OP.

Nothing really wrong with that, just trying to figure out why everyone’s saying new reflector.

Any idea if Simon is selling the new SMO reflector for the Convoy M2? I’d like to replace the OP reflector that came with the M2 host that I bought.

…………

I usually get the M1 in host form & make my own. I absolutely love the M1!!

But I ordered a 7135 x 8 with Biscotti M1 the other day & it just arrived today.

I usually have no troubled at all operating any UI, but this one has me stumped. I have been fooling with it for well over an hour with no sucess. :person_facepalming:
Well I did somehow manage to eliminate the blinky operations.
BUT… I have no idea how I did that & can’t get them back or change to any other mode.

I am following the directions as they are written…. ’as far as I know anyway’.
I have also searched other threads & they offer no further help.

Is there some type glitch in the Biscotti UI that I may not be aware of?

I cannot purposefully get it to do anything it is supposed to.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated….

:+1: …. Thank you - X3 -, that is the UI chart I am using. I cannot get the 10 ’short clicks’ (or more) to do what is written in the chart. :person_facepalming:

I am stumped, but will keep trying…….

Links please. Gotta grab them or too late. Thanks.

The “short clicks” are just normal half clicks that you usually do to change modes.
You’ve got to be quite quick to make them though

Yeah, that is what I am doing for the “short” clicks - X3 - …… it is just not working as the sheet says.

It may be I am doing something wrong…. but if I am, I cannot figure out what it is.

I’m gonna give it a rest for a few hours & come back to it to see if I have any better luck.

I have never had this type trouble with any UI before…… :person_facepalming:

Interesting. I have the exact same M1 setup, and it didn’t take me more than an hour of finagling to set it up. These tips may help:

To get to config, I just half-click until the light stops immediately lighting up. That’s the cue. And since mine is the “faster” early batch, I don’t count how many times it flashes when selecting modes - counting the lulls inbetween is much easier.

Really hope you come to an understanding with your M1, teacher, it’s a sweet piece of kit

I had similar problem once. I could not get into configuration mode. Probably bad flash or some other hardware issue.

Ok… I do the ‘half clicks’ but the light never “stops lighting up”. It makes no difference whether I do 10, 15, 20, 30, “half clicks” the light never “stops lighting”. :person_facepalming:

And yes, I really do know how to do a half click.

This is the only UI I have ever had a problem with. And it is supposed to be a fairly simple one really.

I am thinking it has to be a firmware problem.

I only got this light because it was on sale & I wanted to check out the Biscotti firmware to see if it was suitable for a ‘non light’ person.

What did you do to solve your issue?? Replace the driver.

That’s rough. You may need a new driver, or to re-flash this one.
