Short Review of Sofirn SP33 v2 with XHP50.2

I ordered my SP33 from Sofirn’s Aliexpress store Nov 14. Got a tracking update Dec 22 showing my order was processed through CHINA, GUANGZHOU.
6 weeks after ordering, my light is still in China.

Ouch…. looks like you lost the ’AliExpress Shipping Lottery’…. :person_facepalming: … :frowning::frowning:

My package was only 7 days from the time of order placement to when the package was actuall accepted by the shipping company. 26 days total from order to delivery for the package containing the SP33’s.

Maybe yours got lost in the mayhem of the China Shipping nightmare. Or maybe I just got lucky with mine. Because honestly, this is the fastest I have ever received anything from AliExpress.

I ordered Sofirn CO1’s on 21 November & they are supposed to be here 29 December according to the USPS, who has them now. That will be 38 days from time order was placed.

Good luck…. there is no figuring this China shipping stuff out??? :person_facepalming:

Yes, yes, it does all what it is claimed to do.

30Q.

Didn’t know that before.

I’m buying from China since more than 14 years, this was one of the slowest shipping I ever remembered.

Maybe, and I know that there is much to do on days like 11.11… But as I said: this was the slowest shipping I’ve ever noticed, first shipping note is from 26.11. while I’ve bought on 11.11… Much too slow.

I tend to agree with Ifowner on this one, it’s not an aliexpress issue, it’s a sofirn issue with how long they took to dispatch 11.11 sale items…

I purchased some liikota chargers literally in the same 11.11 transaction and received them before the SP33 shipping notice even came.

Personally I love the light now that I have it and the only complaint I can lodge [about the light itself] is the glue on the driver but I won’t be buying from sofirn in China again (their amazon store sure, if they stock anything there I want) but I don’t understand why people are defending them on slow dispatch times. Make the guy try to feel less bad, sure. But defend them? I don’t get the angle there…

There are at least 2 parts to the shipping. First is for the flashlight company to box up the order, then it goes through the mail. Since shipping out of China is so complicated, some companies use 3rd party shippers. The factory gives the package to them and then they figure out how to get it out of China. All I know is that it’s a very complicated process.

I’m not surprised it took 2 weeks for the company to box and ship the order. The 11.11 sales are huge. Then another month for the postage is also not surprising.

I ordered stuff on the last 11.11 sale and it took about 2 months. I’ve also ordered stuff away from the holidays and it took 2.5 to 3 months. The average is closer to 2 weeks, though.

I just learned to order and not think about it too much. It’s much less stressful that way.

You do realize Aliexpress is just an overall selling platform like eBay and not an actual store, right? So each store you buy from has their own stock of items, sales people, order boxers, etc… so it’s all random. Stores that sale very little on 11.11 might be able to ship quick. Stores that sell a ton of stuff might take longer to ship. How many employees does the store have? If an item is not in stock or sales out, they may have to wait a bit for more to come off the assembly line. As the customer, we really have no clue what is going on over there. The store might ship it out in just days, but the China post might not register the package until weeks later.

Unless you have a middle man like Neal over there that can see the packages go out, you don’t really know what is going on.

Maybe you can ask Sofirn why it seems they took 2 weeks to ship. Maybe they will answer?

I don’t pay much mind to it.

I’m not trying to start a fight or anything and I am really not defending anyone. I just think there is a lot involved with shipping from China that we as customers have little idea about.

And after reading what JasonWW wrote I’m thinking to place blame is probably short sided on our part. Whether it be me blaming AliExpress or someone else blaming a vendor.

In other words, what Jason said sums it up very nicely.

Crazy number of people living in Shenzhen, where most of our goods come from. Ridiculous mountains of packages pile up at the postal centers, especially this time of year. Glad it’s not ME having to wade through the building sized mounds of boxes and bubble packs…

It is a wonder they get here as quick as they do, or at all…. :person_facepalming:
This…… is crazy.
.

You mean to tell me that my $5 trinket isn’t hand-delivered on a velvet pillow to a waiting private jet to get to me?

I AM SHOCKED!!! SHOCKED I TELL YOU!!!

I think I spotted my package from Teacher's post in the image below, it's the blue one in the middle............ approx. eta, about July 2020

Yeah, I’m having issues with AliExpress right now. They’re saying orders completed that I haven’t received and tracking numbers that are worthless.

No, no, no way! That blue package in the middle is the one I ordered. :smiling_imp:

If I have a real shipping problem with a package from China I contact this guy, Wu Lo Wun; to fix it!

Look closely at his right hand. See the scanner & the package?? Just one of mine he got ’back on track”.

He is a good guy to know…… :+1:

With Aliexpress, you have to confirm that your order was recieved.

Have you tried your tracking number on 17track?

He's the guy "in the know" :D

Sorry bud, it's mine

:+1: … Yep, he is…. ’THE FIXER’ !! …

After X amount of days it expires and completes the order on it’s own. Always check when the buyer protection ends. If you hadn’t received it you should have requested an extension on the protection, if ignored, open a dispute with proof of the invalid tracking
