Have you got a pic of the rrt-01 TiC ? I didn’t know they made one in Ti and can’t find it.

had not seen that one.. thanks

I will resist, based on the 160 gram weight, empty.

The Eye10 Tic is just 48 ounces, empty

The TCR20 is heavier than Three Eye10 TiCs…

Merry Holidays!

Indeed it is, but the functions seem somewhat similar, hence my suggestion Wink
But it is much heavier Facepalm
Hope you can get one TiC Wink

I actualy bought it years ago, twice Big Smile , but it wasn’t meant to be as both sellers failed to deliver for… reasons.

The titanium version of the Jetbeam RRT-01 is the TCR-01.

Like the RRT-01, the TCR-01 has been out of production for years. Great light though.

It’s close, but an ‘almost’.
Indications are The Sweetheart in Jon’s eyes doesn’t have detents in the control ring !

thanks, yes, they just lack Strobe

afaik the Niteye Eye 10 TiC has the smooth dial, like the RRT-01 and TCR-01, but only TiC has Strobe

afaik, its the Niteye Eye 10 Aluminum version that has the 11 detents on the ring, and it HAS strobe, so Im now interested

It was explained that a single designer licensed the design to both Jetbeam and Nighteyes. Both are fully licensed to sell the design. As such, the Nighteyes isn’t really a “blatant copy” of the Jetbeam.

The Nighteyes looks like an interesting light. Compared to the Jetbeam it has[/U]:
  • U2 emitter for higher max output. (someone on the forum measured the RRT-01 at 542 lumens on IMR 18350. Compared to over 640 lumens for the Nighteyes EYE 10).
  • Orange peel reflector
  • extra detentes midway through the ring travel. This might be good or bad.
  • extra hidden strobe mode.

Ive been EDCing my RRT-01 Aluminum since it got the N219b 4500k mod..

my desire for a strobe option is what put the TiC on my radar

Yes, TiC has smooth dial Plus Strobe!:-)
I would even be interested in the Eye 10 Aluminum, even though it has 11 detents.. the Strobe is my current priority

I want Strobe.

Next challenge will be the manufacturer-made 18650 tube for the titanium carbon masterpiece…
