Change the timeout values to something that works for you, recompile, then flash.
I have that particular delay set to 28 ticks IIRC and its about perfect for moon timing. The only problematic thing ive come across with Anduril is that sometimes if I turn on using moon shortcut, leave it on a few secs, then shut off. It wont memorize moon for some reason.
It doesn’t memorize the floor, ceiling, or turbo levels when they’re reached by a shortcut. This is on purpose, because people didn’t like losing their memorized level after using moon or turbo. To make it remember moon, the user must ramp to it… typically, by ramping up a little then back down.
Basically, it behaves that way because that’s what people asked for.
I’m not bothered by the delayed turn off because it is only a fraction of a second. However, trying to get it to start in moonlight mode but end up with full blast in the middle of the night with the wife asleep is very annoying. I wish that can be fixed.
I’m also replacing our bedroom fan lights with Alexa enabled LEDs so we can use reds to preserve night vision and not bother each other when our schedules conflict with sleep habits. Soon there may be no need at all lol
I’m thinking o f getting a D4s ,I like the XPLHI 6500k version of my D4 & I’m thinking of getting that in the D4s but what’s the difference between it & th SST-20 6500k version ,I know it has more throw ,do you sacrifice flood? Is the tint the same? Is it more power hungry?
It would be nice if we got a side by side pic of the tints and beam shape for each of the different emitters. I’d bet it would help people get off the fence and order.
It’d be really nice if it was standard for flashlight companies to include a “cd/lm” metric for every model and every emitter type. This goes a long way toward giving people a good idea what the beam is like. For example, is it a 2 cd/lm flooder, a 8 cd/lm EDC light, a 35 cd/lm compact thrower, or a 200 cd/lm dedicated thrower?
