18350 tube lets go
Was just about to post that. Itās good stuff.
not under 3000k tint ?
can you swapp heads with a alu s2+ ?
I could swap the Cu body with an alu body, so I assume you can swap heads with an alu S2+.
That is a wish, right? The 18350 tube is not available (yet), is it?
With shorty tube I would consider this Cu version
Why donāt yāall send Simon a note and ask him to have the Copper 18350 tube made, if he hasnāt already chosen to do so he might re-consider itā¦
I asked once, he said no plans for 18350 tube since it is not high demand for such thing,
Humā¦maybe we can try again?
If the members that already have a Cu S2+ (and want orā¦need :smiling_imp: a shorty tube) & the ones that donāt have one, are interested in shorty tubes, maybe we can check with Simon again if heāll manage to do them!
It would be neat to have male/male joining sleeves (the sleeve would be female on each end) in copper to connect multiple 18350 tubes together for use with, say, a 6V emitter such as the 50.2 or 70.2 or MT-G2, even 3 tubes for a 9V MT-G2. A fourth tube for a 50.2 quad in 2S2P for 12V operation from 4 cellsā¦ the options are very broad. The sleeves would act as grip along the length of the tube.
short tube needs a good saw, some sanding plane then solder with very little paste both pieces together
if the coating does not get damaged the result may look good enough or need some sort of mild sand blasting or so to hide the solder connection
Lexel taking a jewelers approach to resizing
i can produce some ,but i want to remove the knurning or change the style .
Product yield rate can be improved greatly if i dont process knurning

similar to sleeve of L4 flashlight ,right?
Iām new here, and new to ordering things on Ali; it says this is out of stock. Is this because he has a limited number he isnāt posting stock? Iād love this with the metal switch, is that a possible order modification in order notes?
Also, Iām hoping to eventually start modifying flashlights. Should I only order the host or is it as easy to order the full flashlight and then take the other stuff out when Iām ready to get into modifications? Iām leaning that way but would like to do things as simply as possible to get started.
Thank you for your time.

Hi and welcome to BLF Vortexbig

Yup, the Convoy S2+ Copper seems to be out of stock right now. Maybe it will be re-added later! Or you can send a message on AliExpress to the seller (Simon Mao) and ask him about the availability!
About the metal switch in that light, please note that it is only available with the rubber button.
This versionās host is a ānormalā one, not like the āDesert Tanā or the āSilverā with black metal button.
To put the metal switch in the ānormalā hostsā¦it is possible (see here or here ), but the tailcap structure has to be modded. It can be done, butā¦I still donāt know how
About modding, Iāll only speak for my experience: I bought the āfullā light and then started by replacing the LEDs, then the drivers. I guess many people here may have started other way, so I hope they can share!!
I think the only real difference is you miss out on using a retaining ring on the driver pill. I hate soldering drivers to pills and will choose a retaining ring whenever possible. Stock S2+ lights come with the driver soldered to pill and no ring.
I believe theyāre only soldered if you choose greater than 4x7135 chips. 4 or less and it should ship with a retaining ring used.

Thanks
I think itās already too late!
I messaged Simon and he responded!āYes, I will launch next batch after Chinese spring festival. And the style will be changed.ā
Chinese Spring Festival is Feb. 5th
I can wait until then
you think something like a Cu Heatsink Pill could be in a Cu S2+ ?.
too much weight?.
or best just to use normal black s2+?.
