I just wanted to provide a quick update after spending a few more days with this light.
Of the five lights I got from Int'l Outdoor, this JM07 Pro is turning out to be the thoroughbred of the bunch. Its ascending three mode UI, comfortable fat body and versatile all-purpose OP reflector, not to mention it is more than bright enough, makes me wish I had a less pretty one to knock around.
Not a single, functional hiccup and I like the new blue boot.
That's a tough comparison. I like them both but I'm surprised at how the JM07 has become a go-to light. It's bright as heck and I need to measure run time because it seems to have double the run time of any P60 I have. I keep forgeting it has that big King Kong in there. Seriously awesome flashlight but better to get the black or gun metal.
I'm telling you; I think I've drank the 26650 Koolaid.
I did a run-time test with a King Kong 26650 charged to 4.22 volts.
Flashlight on high.

Looks like you get just about two full hours on high. After initial sag, it stayed pretty strong and even read a little higher for a while, although it didn't seem brighter to my eye.
Hi, Foy. I have the JM07 on the way from CNQG as a replacement for out of stock item. I asked for gun metal version, but the CS rep I was talking to seemed confused so I'm expecting black . Anyhoo, I love the blue boot - is it this one from IOS?
Another question: CNQG lists this as current regulated - does that mean an unprotected 26650 battery is ok to use or is there some special care I need to take?
I can confirm that I got just about the same runtime with a KK and I can also confirm that this is an awesome, incredibly useful light. Mine is sitting in pieces waiting for me to get the time/interest to make it a triple XML light.
My JM07 came yesterday. Supposed to be very windy (+25mph) today so I'll be field testing the light on the Fox River Trail tonight. We're planning on heading down to your neck of the woods, probably turn around at the Montgomery trail head.
I can't wait to hear how it goes! You'll still be north of my stomping grounds. The part of the trail I run is south of there and unfortunately not directly connected to the northern part. I need to venture north one of these days.
I purchased one as well as the stone white edition, but underneath the gun metal version on the web site it says "
" The Gun Metal Grey JM07-PRO has been found to have some oxidation issues on the latest batch, becasue of that we choose not to sell it. But we have the new version in Black which is free of those problems."
