Cleaning up my charger clutter

I have all sorts of chargers.
1, 2 and 4 slot Liitokala’s (several of each)
1 slot Basen (my fav 1 slot charger)
4 slot MiBoxer
AA/AAA charger.

What I’m looking for is a good charger that does ’em all.

  • AAA, AA, 14500, 18650, 21700, 26650, etc
  • I have zero interest in LCD screens etc.
  • I love speed
  • All channels need to be able to work with all cells at top speed. So no crap like only slot 1 is top speed.
  • Ability to charge any mix of cells simultaneously at top speed. Say a AAA cell and a 26650.
  • 8+ slots
  • Bonus would be if it would also work from the 12v in my car.

Klarus makes a 8 cell charger that will charge any cell you can fit into it. from aaa all the way to 26650. No fancy LCD screens or anything. Just flashing LED’s. Take a peek at it.

650 ma per cell, when doing 8

Yeah, most single cell chargers do 1A max.

I got a 4 slot MiBoxer that’s supposed to do 3A on every slot, but it seems to outsmart itself all the time and charge at much lower amps.
My Basen BD01 charges at 2A. One of teh fastest real life chargers. But just single slot and no AA or AAA

C4-12? Hmm… I always wanted one due to the 3amp x 4 cell… Can it be manually set?
I used two folomov A4’s … this way I can charge 8 at 2 amps each cell… doesnt fit the 21700 well though…

Yes, you can manually set the charging rate on each slot.

Speed charging makes me nervous. I wish I had faith that a charger would push electrons in as fast as possible, adjusting as the cell charge increased, without degrading the cell over time.

Seems to me that is the lithium charging algorithm. They click along ‘full bore’ (whatever it’s set at) to about 80%+ then start slowing down. I haven’t tested every charge I have but those that I have checked all act that way.

The Xtar SC1 is a single slot charger that charges at 2A only. LiIon only, no Nimh. Great little charger too. I just picked up 4 of them. 21700’s fit with room to spare too.

It can. I just don’t like it.
I want to put in the cells and that’s it. It’s not the capability of the MiBoxer I dislike, but the user unfriendliness.
