I know this doesnā€™t help you, but I will comment that Sofirn had a special earlier this month where they were giving 50% off a light purchased on amazon. I purchased a Q8 for a net of $30. I donā€™t post this to spite anyone, more as a comment to keep your eyes open for when they have another special deal like this. Mostly for DavidEF, who posted just a couple days after the special ended.

On a more positive note, I purchased a different light from Sofirn on their Aliexpress store in the past couple days, and they sent me a message saying they would be back on Jan 2. Hopefully you get a message back from them regarding a discount coupon in the next day or so.

Well, I have not reviewed the ratings of the Sofirn Q8, but I can attest that it can operate through a drop from the top of a door to the floor. Donā€™t ask . . . :person_facepalming: :+1:

I have a few proving grounds around the state and finally took both my Sofirn Q8 and D4 w/XPl hi to the hills and valleys with big oaks. In stock form, the Q8 is amazing at output and throw! I can't imagine what Dale's upgrades would do to it! I know many have already experienced this. I'm now just about at the 'giggle' reaction output level!

Donno if this is appropriate here, but having recently acquired a Q8, I believe
Sofirn and BLF should consider having a re-charging plug onboard the Q8.

Eliminating disassembly to charge the batteries would be a great plus, with
Less wear and tear to boot.

Just a quick note. Nkresho put some xhp50.2 in his Q8 and got about 16k lumen. Crazy.

The new 3v version 50.2 seems to work well in the Q8.
