Review: Shadow JM07 Pro "Stone White" Limited Edition

How does it compare with your JM05?

That's a tough comparison. I like them both but I'm surprised at how the JM07 has become a go-to light. It's bright as heck and I need to measure run time because it seems to have double the run time of any P60 I have. I keep forgeting it has that big King Kong in there. Seriously awesome flashlight but better to get the black or gun metal.

I'm telling you; I think I've drank the 26650 Koolaid.

I hate that fugly invalid URL on the black and grey version.

Being an IT guy that works as a sysadmin for a hosting company I could never live with the fact that the link is dead.

I hope they will rebrand it to plain Shadow JM07 Pro, or at least to a working URL.

That's right, I forgot. It's on my VG-20 too.

Hey viktori, I have a beater green 2D Mag you can have for whatever it cost to ship to Croatia, if you want it.

I have a feeling that I saw it listed on cnqualitygoods, but they are only showing the black one now.

I did a run-time test with a King Kong 26650 charged to 4.22 volts.

Flashlight on high.

Looks like you get just about two full hours on high. After initial sag, it stayed pretty strong and even read a little higher for a while, although it didn't seem brighter to my eye.

Will update review.

Hi, Foy. I have the JM07 on the way from CNQG as a replacement for out of stock item. I asked for gun metal version, but the CS rep I was talking to seemed confused so I'm expecting black Smile. Anyhoo, I love the blue boot - is it this one from IOS?

Another question: CNQG lists this as current regulated - does that mean an unprotected 26650 battery is ok to use or is there some special care I need to take?

The driver inside is a Nanjg 105C without one 7135 chip, so 7*7135. It will flash when the voltage is about 3V under load and go to low mode.

I can confirm that I got just about the same runtime with a KK and I can also confirm that this is an awesome, incredibly useful light. Mine is sitting in pieces waiting for me to get the time/interest to make it a triple XML light.

Thanks, Hikelite - just what I wanted to know.

Super fantastic! 15 business days shipping to wait untill I get mine. Thank you for the excellent review.

Hey, mitro:

My JM07 came yesterday. Supposed to be very windy (+25mph) today so I'll be field testing the light on the Fox River Trail tonight. We're planning on heading down to your neck of the woods, probably turn around at the Montgomery trail head.

I can't wait to hear how it goes! You'll still be north of my stomping grounds. The part of the trail I run is south of there and unfortunately not directly connected to the northern part. I need to venture north one of these days.

Between, I can't wait to see the pics!! Wink

Well, I ordered a Shadow JM07 in black from IntlOutdoor. I'm a fan of the 26650 sized hosts, so I should enjoy this one.

I would like to get my hands on a gun metal JM07.

(laughing) I wonder if Hank is selling more of these lately.

Naw . . . you guys were going to get one anyway, right?

sureyouwereFoy

Gun metal was out of stock when I last contacted Hank. He didn't seem like he'd be ordering more GM, but I could be wrong.

I purchased one as well as the stone white edition, but underneath the gun metal version on the web site it says "

" The Gun Metal Grey JM07-PRO has been found to have some oxidation issues on the latest batch, becasue of that we choose not to sell it. But we have the new version in Black which is free of those problems."

So I guess It will be black instead.

That's right. I remember now.

So, does anyone know how easy/hard it would be to add a couple more 7*7135 to the driver and push it to 3.15 or 3.5 amps?
