Second Generation Silver Plated High Current Beryllium Copper Springs and 95+CRI SST20!

Thank you for publishing the list. Could you please reduce the SST20 4000K for me (line 5) to 20 pieces? And please add 20 small NICKEL-plated springs. My flashlights are really looking forward to get some high quality springs! :person_with_crown: :sunglasses:

Added to the list.

I will be starting to send PMs for payment February 4th, and I will be buying the springs on February 19th.

I will be doing this groupbuy as quickly as possible.

Also, there is a possibility I will be ordering more springs this time if a certain large buyer likes my large sample.

Just mounted/tested my first SST-20, the 3500K, on a 16 mm SinkPad II, in a little decent zoomie - the UltraFire U-F10. The beam tint is looking really nice and rosy. Wow! Compared side by side with my other U-F10 running a XM-L2 U4 1C dedomed, the U4 looks so green. So from stock (XM-L2 ~U2 1A), the lumens is down (320->201) but the throw is up (6 kcd to 10.2 kcd), but now, of course, it has great CRI and a great tint.

BTW, guys, I’ll have to remove the nickel-plated springs section.

I had 500 extra small springs left(200 did not sell, and 300 extra were errounsly sent by the manufacturer)

I do not have them anymore, except for MRsDNF small nickel plated springs.

Perhaps you could share the springs that are left?

The 40 nickel plated springs are literally the only ones left.

What happened to those springs?

1. I shipped 50 to 808Hi.

2. I kept 40 springs for MRsDNF.

3. My Truth Not Excitedly Literally Establishes Connection Truly something Revolutionary Obviously Not Incidentally Confusing, Seriously.

Solve the riddle and you will have your answer.

@contactr, you’ve got it right.

I sold the remaining 410 small springs to Richard at MTN Electronics

I got my SST-20 3500K and installed them in a quad. The tint is very neutral, I like it a lot. I wouldn’t call it rosey personally, its pretty much just neutral.

I’ll try to get some pictures later if I get some time.

Got some pictures of colors. The tint is warmer than this, the camera had WB set to auto.

@faklya, I don’t really know about that, sorry. I still haven’t found a source of good tinted 4000k SST-20s.

Please add me for the earliest available:

12- SST-20 in 3500K
10 large spring
15 small spring

@JaredM, added you to the list for the 2nd part groupbuy for the SST-20 3500k, along with cris2cpu.

I have made another list for the 2nd batch of SST-20 3500k.

I will also send PMs starting next week so I can get the money to buy the springs February 19th.

Here’s the link:

BlueSwordM,

If you are still ordering SST-20 4000k 95CRI, would you please put me down for 8?

Also, I used two of your larger springs from your first batch to upgrade my convoy L6 switches, they work much better now. The batteries dont disconnect when the light shakes now, and I think it is visibly brighter. (I have no actual test equipment)

Thanks!

No problem, I will still be ordering some when I find them.

And besides, you are already on the list

If we can reach 500pcs, then we are going to have quite a bit more choice on the matter

I will probably be ordering the SST-20 3000k too, and 3500k if there is enough demand for a 2nd batch.

Thanks!

I just noticed you have LH351D 4k on the list too… put me down for 8 of those too if I’m not already on there…

Material: Beryllium Copper C17530 38% IACS
Spring upper diameter: 4,25mm
Spring base diameter: 5,5mm
Spring thickness: 0,8mm
Spring height: 10,50mm
Total number of coils: 5
Plating: Silver electroplating

Same thing for the large spring:

Material: Beryllium Copper C17530 38% IACS
Spring upper diameter: 5,0mm
Spring base diameter: 9mm
Spring thickness: 1,0mm
Spring height: 12,00mm
Total number of coils: 4/5
Plating: Silver electroplating

That last one is still problematic. We would lose the mechanical advantage of BeCu C17530 over higher conductivity. Stiffness was an actual advantage there.
Still, removing 1 coil from the large spring is still possible.

Is it to late to add more springs? I should be down for 30/ea already and thought the list was full. If we’re able to still add more LMK and I’ll get you an updated count.
