Manafont C/S

I'm fast running out of patience with Manafont C/S right about now.

I just ordered a couple things from Manafont today and we'll see how things go. I haven't had any problems with my dozen or so orders from them but that was all from last year. My last order from them was Sep. 2011 so we'll see what happens with todays order.

It took about 2 months and a lot of emails back and forth between me/CS/Jim before I got them to send me the correct drop-in I had ordered. Undecided It's obviously damaged though and would warrant replacement.

I wonder if the the CS team probably didn't read your email thoroughly or look at the pictures closely enough to realize that it was really a crack through the aluminum and thought it was just a scratch in the anodizing? I would recommend being patient and following up with another email. Is it possible for you to get a macro-shot of the damage with a strong backlight that can be seen through the crack to demonstrate that it does pass through the entire head? That crack would affect thread engagement and water tightness as well...

My camera - its a Pentax optio P80- doesn't do macro very well (even on manual) shows dust good though. light isn't showing thru anymore I greased the o-rings covered the crack -- maybe if I boil it?

If a light is crack(ed) you must send it back.

I had a similar situation with Manafont. I also had a couple of other items I wanted to order. I offered to submit my order if they were to include the replacement for the defective item I had just received.
They agreed and I am happy with the outcome. I know this goes against the grain of some of the preferred methods, but sometimes you got to give and take a little.
I also must add that I think that your disapointment in the cracked host is perfectly reasonable.

I've been e-mailing back and forth with M/F since 2/16 it's nice to have BLF support --- squeaky wheel and all.

Good luck! I don't purchase from Manafont any more.

I hope their CS has improved substantially!

What happened to Manafont CS and Jim? A year ago no one could touch them for the most part...seems after the BLF custom flashlight debacle it went downhill, and Jim more or less disappeared. Just my observation, probably wrong :)

It's too bad if they have because that UltraFire 3-mode XM-L drop-in (sku 5720) is probably the best anywhere.

I just ordered 2 of those a week ago at the same time I ordered my defective solarforce hosts.

They both shipped same day.

I got the solarforce hosts in the mail yesterday, so im hoping the manafont order will get here sometime within the next week.

The order that had the broken TF-1200 body also had 2 TF-3000 18650 flame batterys and a 3 mode XML drop-in --- good as usual, It's my 2nd (3rd?) M/F 3-mode and still the best. And Ella is

If they don't take it back, Manafont is whack.

Still no progress on the TR-1200 It looks like I can return the broken host on my own dime and they will replace it. Of course I can't write chinese ideograms for the address and my printer is long gone. It's a good thing the price was only $13.00 for the host. The body and tailcap are well made just the head and bezel are crap . Spare parts for the box I guess. >Hi Carl,

On3/26/2012 ordered two item and am waiting.

Charger for 26650 and torch.

Hope to receive in a week.

Keep the e-mails going back and forth.

Ordered a 26650 torch and charger on 3/26/2012.

sorry to hear of your problem.

Keep e-mails going and they will take care of them.

Havent received a MF order (shipped Feb 14th, 2 months ago!!) so now i am finally testing their *service*: ive sent them an email (mail@manafont.com) ...

Let's note that sellers such as DD and HKE would issue a full refund (paypal, or giftcard) right away if the buyer didnt receive the shipment after such a long time. And no matter if the buyer had paid for insurance (2.00$ tracking number). it's their service (see also ebay sellers). Of course, the buyer is required to pay back the refund if the parcel still reaches the destination. Paypal dispute or claim isnt needed with such great sellers (DD, HKE, ebay). So let's see how MF C/S reacts to my e-mail inquiry...

I already tried their cs and it wasnt until I filed a PayPal claim that they responded..all they said was you should have paid the 2$..I told them they should include it after 20 or 30$..got a message through my PayPal claim afterwards that said please wait for the package..I will wait until april 21 as the case closes on the 22..so if it hasn't arrived by then it will be a claim..

Not great cs in the least...

I quit doing business with these scumbags long ago. Buyer beware.

I ordered something on 03/15 and still nothing. They used to be the fastest shipper compared to DX and KD but now it appears they are just as bad. I'll start emailing them and get the runaround like the rest of you guys are getting I'm sure. Does anyone talk to Jim any more? He used to resolve issues in the past.
