FREEME ✌ ASTROLUX FT03S SFH55 9300lm & FT03 SFT40 2200lm 1300m NarsilM v1.3 USB-C - ALIVE

Their Chinese New Year holiday will start this weekend. Most likely have to wait till both BG and manufacturer resume work.

Banggood has a option for CW and NW but I thought the SST-40 was only available in 6500k?

maybe nw is xp-l2

If you check the datasheet they come in 4500k-10,000k. The limiting factor to us hobboests is what a retailer sells and only CW have been for sale up till now. Astrolux could have ordered a full reel at which point they could spec a tint bin of their choice.

So, we’re not getting an SST-20 for the light, huh?

Well that would’ve been nice for 1000m+ of throw.

You can put osram CSLPM1.TG – 2mm2 and it will run with FET driver.

Should throw further due to smaller led.

CSLNM1.TG throws even better but fet driver is too much for both and turn them angry blue.

Question for the under-educated;
How is Astrolux getting 2400 lumen from a SST40 emitter? How many amps/watts to the LED?
Has anyone seen CD numbers? Tested one of these?

@wstrachan

1. They aren’t getting anywhere near 2400 lumens. Even when heavily overdriven, 2400 lumens is the best case scenario at turn on with a full very high drain cell, and without counting optical loss, and temperature increase of the LED.

2. Candela/throw numbers seems a bit high for a domed SST-40 light, even massively overdriven.

In Convoy L2 which has about 5mm smaller head:
SST-40 N4 BA 9.5A 2226 lumens 172400 cd 830,4 m
Maybe the cd reading can be real because of bigger head but the 2400 lumens not. Maybe 2100-2200. I used 18 AWG wires in that L2 and all springs bypassed.

Thanks. At times Astrolux numbers are inflated but in many cases they are accurate so I was wondering if anyone knew.
