DC-Fix Diffusion Film Sale

I wouldn’t mind grabbing a couple sheets.

Bumptybump.

Sometime ago I put the DC-Fix on the Emisar D4 and never had a problem, even with it on turbo. Of course, I didn’t make “extensive” use of turbo many times or for a very long period of time. Still, it didn’t have any problem.

I also used it on my Amutorch AM30 (with XHP70.2) for some time on Max, and had no problem concerning temperature and material damage.
Only reason why I took it out was because this is a thrower and the DC-Fix made it floodier. Still, it made the beam even, annulling those yellowish rings on the flashlight (provoked by that led under a big SMO reflector)

Pm recieved , thanks.

So is anyone still actively selling DC fix? Needing a small portion for a Wowtac A2s headlamp. Any info let me know thx.

TxGoodfella did you see this post?

I am sure Boaz is still selling it.

Duh yea sry bout that, PM’ing now

I just linked the photo so you would have an idea how it worked on the Wowtac.
Its cheap enough to try others but be sure to get the DC. It seams to do the best all around.

Goodluck.

Along with his soul… :smiling_imp:

Yes I have become the very definition of a BLF shill :P

Believe me ....every penny earned is given back to the flashlight community. It all goes toward battery testing ,tint evaluation, light juggling, modern light art dance theory and shelf building.

Congrats Nev you won the last dc -fix giveaway .

Your fix is free

I’m jest yankin’ ya chain…

Is this stuff privacy film for windows?

Basically. Worth mentioning Boaz has a few diff films for diff applications.

Yes, and is sold in (some) stores in large sheets and/or rolls. DC-Fix is arguably the best brand of this kind of stuff. Lots of the members here have found it to be a wonderful way to smooth flashlight beams, especially on flashlights that have bad artifacts in the beam. :confounded:

Boaz is selling small pieces, so that members don’t have to hunt down and buy a whole roll of the stuff themselves. Not every store has every type of film, and not every member has use for several linear feet of the stuff.

Thanks  Can’t find DC-Fix here so will try some locally available stuff out, see what it’s like.

And thanks for this too! Yes, i assume anything i get won’t be as good as DC-fix but as long as it’s good enough i’ll be happy. Only for one torch really so not too fussed if it doesn’t work.

Anyone ever tried it to “unfry a egg”?

Got a bunch of lights (pretty much all the LuxPros I got, that seem to all use XP-G3s), and there’s that hideous yellow corona around an otherwise decent white hotspot, and a pale blue spill. Rather nasty fried-egg beam…

They smooth out that any, or just artifacts like rings?

But, But, But…

I thought you LIKED fried eggs! I’m confused! :person_facepalming:

:stuck_out_tongue:

Here you go Lightbringer. All in this thread, too.

Hey, I love ’em (over medium, usually; hate when the eggwhite is like snot), but not in my beams.

I wish I could stick TIRs in there. Maybe the 2×AA light, but the 4×AAA one and expecially 2×D light are way too big in diameter.

I’ll poke around those posts, see what gives… hjeh.

I’ve been wanting to try this. Had to get some for a window of all reasons (off of Amazon), but I tried it on one of my lights first. I have just gotten the Wuben E01. Great little AAA light except for the rings and yellow corona when using close up. Took me a while to dial in the correct size on scrap paper (cuticle scissors work really well for the round cut). My cuts weren’t perfect, one edge is not quite so (minor artifact on the edge of the beam), but it is close to 99%. The rings virtually disappeared along with the yellow corona. I wished I would have taken some before pictures.

Now it is a near perfect light. The adhesive didn’t appear to be that sticky, so I hope it stays on OK.
Can’t wait to try it on my AA light. The others are good enough — I’m OK with them — for now anyways.
