What blade did you EDC today?

Brute folder knife without dude.
But, a folder knife is not a fixed knife. I have a video exactly with that thought, in my channel.

I have fixed blade knifes, that well truth be told it is more a knife shaped axe  But its not that often i got a valid excuse to carry one of those.
I spent many a class in school drawing knifes, big fixed blade knifes, so much so the teachers got worried and i had to visit the school psychiatrist.
And then teachers left me alone after that, as i think the shrink confirmed that yes i was indeed not like the other kids, and back then there was no help so problems was just sidelined.
To this day 37 years later i still call my 9.5 years of school as the biggest trauma / nightmare i have ever encountered, you know how some kids can home in on a kid that’s not quite like them.
When i drive past my old school i always roll down the car window and spit in its direction.

Yeah, I had enough years with Sister Mary Alice Meanface that I know what you’re referring to.

That’s right!
I hoper Sanrenmu make drems come true! :+1:

Rubicon style flipper (review here):

Great review … very cool two-tone flipper. I just purchased two. Thanks for the heads up.

Ordered one this morning. I like the design. I would like to find a larger size later with a lock of some sort.

You’re welcome! The black/orange G10 with the grey bead blasted liners and pocket clip make a nice combo.

Stedemon BP-02

Walking to lunch…good thing they have plastic environmental friendly disposable knives at the restaurant in case I actually need to cut something :confounded:

I have tons of large and small blades that get exactly “zero” use. Because I never do anything. Because I’m lazy. But some are really cool — mostly Ontario, Gerber, Cold Steel…
My EDC knife (if I actually carried it) is a Cold Steel Vaquero.
I’d like to get a Glock knife and a Cold Steel Peacemaker III (boot knife); but the truth is, I have no use for them. I just like them.

That’s a really nice looking knife!

I had never had one of their knives before. I liked the look of it and took a chance. Not large sized but not small either. Fits in the hand nice. Nice edge on it. Not super thin but not super fat either. Opens smoothly and locks up nicely. I really like the blade vs handle contrast. I will give it a workout and see how it holds up. I’m not super hard on knives but I will do my best to give it hell.

Think it was $34 on eBay. I could have probably gotten it cheaper overseas or Amazon but, I didn’t want to wait on overseas and I am not using Amazon till they get deliveries figured out in my area.

I’ve got an Amazon gift card burning a hole in my pocket and was going to pull the trigger on one of these, but for some reason they don’t sell knives to people in New York State. :rage: :person_facepalming: :frowning:

Maybe I’ll get it from another source.

Here is the link to the ebay ad I got it from. Atlantic Knife Co is the seller. They have their own website too with lots of knives, I just so happen to run across it on ebay. They shipped fast.

What I carried today is about as far from budget as production knives get…

How much was it?

700…

Jeez, guess that is Canadian dollars. My neighbor has a Lanny, different handle look. It’s like a black or really dark blue I think. Think I remember him giving about $400 US for it. It’s been a while back. He’s crazy as hell though, he paid $800 and some change for a William Henry of some sort. Nice looking blade with Mokume handle. He is out of control on pocket knives. He never carries them though. He carries $20 Kershaws and CRKTs and just collects the expensive ones. He’s shown me knives that I am pretty sure cost more than any car or truck I’ve owned. He told me if his house ever caught on fire while he wasn’t home to make sure the firefighters didn’t take off with his knife safe.

Nope that is USD. But, it is only semi production….the blades are hand ground. The handles and hardware are production. So the important part of the knife is custom…
I have a few that are high cost, and with a couple exceptions, I carry them. They don’t get heavy use, if I carry something expensive I usually carry a small fixed blade or a slip joint if something so that if something is really dirty or needs more abuse than I want to give to a $700 knife, I can use one of them.
