Second Generation Silver Plated High Current Beryllium Copper Springs and 95+CRI SST20!

So how do you like that hotplate? It looks very small and convenient, I almost bought one. What time does it take to reach the set temperature?

@BlueSwordM , could you please reduce my query to 10 * SST20 4000/3000 (springs and 3500 K are without change)?

Confirmed. Maximum 400C.

I like very much. Since I have it, I have not failed any led reflow.

Room temperature 27C (air conditioned).
Hotplate initial temperature 33C.
Delay until reaching the set temperature (218C) 10:44 minutes.

Thanks, I have been thinking about this unit for several months, you just convinced me - ordered

It's the best price as well on Ali. Others may list it cheaper but charge almost as much for shipping.

BTW guys, I’m going to order the 3000k LEDs at the same time as the springs.

Who would like additional 3000k LEDs?

If I could actually order 250 LEDs, I could actually make them a bit cheaper than 1,50$USD/pcs.

I’m also still looking at the SST-20 4000k.

Sure, I’ll take 8 of the 3000k if its not too late… I haven’t signed up for any of them yet I dont think…

No prob. You weren’t added to the list.

Anybody else?

BlueSwordM, add 20 of the SST-20 3000k to my order (line 47) if that helps.

What is the current price of 3000K with fee ? Is it cheaper than at intloutdoor?

Currently?

If you order with the springs, yes.

Otherwise, since you pay for shipping, it’s not really worth it if you buy a small quantity of LEDs.

So, in your case, since you have some springs, then yes, it will cheaper, even with the fee, compared to Intl Outdoor.

Thanks. So 3500K 3000K can be shipped with springs.and 4000k will be later.

Then I am in for 20pcs 3500K and 20pcs 3000. and no 4000K if possible.

Excellent.

I’ve added you all to the updated list:

If I actually manage to find a good source of 500 SST-20 4000k, then we are golden

Dang Blue! I finished a ROT66 LED swap to your 3500K's from the 219B's and am very happy with it. Kcd is up 50% and got a slight bump in lumens as well, and really like the tint! Side by side with an E07 with their SST-20 4000K's and it's quite a difference - the 3500K's got that rosy touch while the 4000K's seam to have an something like an aqua blue. I thought the E07 looked really good before this side by side comparison.

Thanks Again!!

Other notes: swapped the stock teflon short LED wires with silicone 18 AWG longer ones to allow re-programming, and removed the inner spring of the driver spring and added in a short 22 AWG bypass. I left the dual springs in the carrier as-is for now.

That is excellent!

Also, you got a 50% improvement in throw? That’s honestly extremely good for a very high CRI emitter swap.

I’d honestly love it if the SST-20 were available in a dedomed variant.

Actually, it would be the absolute throwiest high CRI emitter.

I do wonder now how the 3000k and 4000k would look, especially since the 3000k at the distributor is under the BBL too.

I used the last 4 of my 3500k leds tonight. Installed them in a triple, accidentally busted one of them. The tint is very nice… Thanks for making these available.

You’re welcome, but how did you bust a single LED?

I’d like to know.

Please add 12 3000k SST-20’s to my list.

Thanks

I do not have the proper equipment for reflowing electronics, and so I was using the stove set to a low setting. I usually have no trouble doing single led boards, but multiple led boards give me more trouble. That combined with being a bit impatient while trying to clean excess solder from around the LEDs, and I just clipped the corner off one…

Getting a hot air gun or a regulated hotplate is on my long term wishlist…
