Second Generation Silver Plated High Current Beryllium Copper Springs and 95+CRI SST20!

Yep.

Hotplates are a godsend, especially if you have a stencil.

For components that have low thermal mass, it makes it so easy to just reflow, slowly raise the heat, and the part is soldered down.

For high thermal mass parts, like springs on tailcaps/drivers, or parts very sensitive to heat, using a hotplate can be very useful to preheat the part and solder it using a soldering iron.

Heck, to make my job even easier, I use SnBi solder paste, since its very low melting point is perfect for stuff that should never get close to 100C, like springs and low power builds, making the job that much faster too.

Also, is there someone who would like a triple 3000k/3500k build on an MCPCB? I have one left that I can use for this.

Could you add me to the list for 15 of both the small & large springs? Thanks!

No problem.

Added to the list.

Just used 4 of the small springs on a mod of the infamous "TESLACOM" flashlight. There was a 1/2 price deal on Amazon for it. First I thought it was a junker, umoddable, cheaply made, but ended up getting it apart and could see a couple things about it could be fixed up, one of which is better springs.

This is it, but I only paid $18: https://www.amazon.com TESLACOM. Beleive me it's not worth $37, not even sure if it's worth $18.

God this light looks bad.

It could be so good too.

N4 SST-40 5000k, BeCu springs, 5A buck driver, nice good fins, a good 5 mode UI with moonlight but that would cost a large part of the profit margin.

So, I’m going to start sending PMs by Tuesday to the people in the final list:

So, if anybody wants to get on the list for the springs and 3000k LEDs, now is the time.

Please add to my order 6 x 3000k leds.
I am in line 43.

No problem:

Will start sending PMs now.

Hey blue, did you change your paypal email for payments? Just checking to be sure?

No, I didn’t.

Why?

My mistake. :person_facepalming:
I went through my paypal payments and found the same one you just PM’d. :+1:

Hi Blue,
Is there still time to count me in for:
12x SST-20 4000k
12x 351D 4000k

PayPal sent. Thanks for organizing this. I look forward to checking out these springs in person.

@bhstinger, you can still enter for the SST-20 4000k and LH351D 4000k.

Just need to find a good source of them with great tints…

I still haven’t found anything with a confirmed tint bin.

Thanks Blue. Terrific effort for us all here.

I haven’t received a PM yet for pmnt for my 100 springs. Are they going out in waves and I just haven’t came up in the order yet or was I missed?

Yeah, I’m doing 2 waves of 15 people per day, one during the morning, and one during the evening.

You are on track for the 2nd wave today.

Cool, figured as much (and in the mean time I managed to score a few of your springs from a fellow modder for use now) but I can’t wait to stock up and not have to worry for a little bit!

Yeah.

So, I wasn’t able to find a source of good tinted SST-20 4000k, so had to delay it, along with the LH351D

Only the springs, SST-20 3500k and 3000k will be available for this groupbuy

Hey guys, if you’re pp mobile app is forcing you to send pmnt in CA$ just switch to PayPal on your browser, choose goods & services and it’ll default to sending USD!
