I just received the S2+ in gray with the SST-20 emitter from Simon’s store. I really like the body color and beam the SST-20 creates. I ordered the light with 4 7135’s which allows the light to run at full power and not get uncomfortably hot. Simon, thanks for creating a great light.
It’s great to see new products from Convoy but I was hoping for something new in 21700 format, like a smaller single cell convoy L2 or a S2+ equivalent but with 21700 and brighter
Convoy S11
Will there be thermal control and brightness stabilization? Honestly, I had hopes for the S3 size (18650) for XHP50, but no one seems to be planning to do this besides zebralight (Zebralight SC600Fс IV Plus XHP50).

it has thermal control but no ramping mode,
the driver uses PIC12F683
What size is the driver on this S11? Is the switch forward or reverse?
22mm driver
125V 10A forward switch
Can you make reverse clicky as an option for it? I think if people used to S2+ using method it is better to use same switch. If you worry about current I have no problems with reverse clicky switches up to 13A.
I like the look of that new S11, will definitely be purchasing one of those. 26650 and/or 21700 would be very nice. Either way, the plain cylinder shape is perfect.

I love the design and obvious Convoy quality of this S11, just wish it was an e-switch. This light is a no-go for me without one.
I'd also love the see the quality, low cost, and clean design of the S2+ or S3 lights as e-switches. Guess part of the problem is to many makers, the e-switch upgrade also implies USB charging, which it doesn't have to. There's also a lot of aspects to implementing a good e-switch:
consistent action and feel
placement
not too stiff but protected and stiff enough to not accidentally turn on
must be easy to locate by feel
The S9 is close but I don't like the style,no ano color options, and think the switch could use improvements. I do though need to re-visit the S9. I bought one way back when they came out, but it's sat on the shelf since. The switch design - feel and action were probably the biggest issues I had with it.
On the other hand, I love the reverse clicky mechanical switch of the S2+ and hope to see it back on one of the 21700 flashlights. And the bright colors of anodization too
I’m very anxious to see the SST-40 and ramping driver, but SST40 is only cool white. I wish for warm tints. Hopefully it has a few useful mid-range currents (500, 800 mA) and not only fancy turbo.
Probably the ramping driver is suited for XML too, but more efficient than a 7135 Biscotti driver (Simon?). Then I can select the tints I like
S2+ 21700 quad: I’m in for it, should be a great fet host, however knurling of any kind would be welcome, it’s a flashlight, not a dildo. Plus diamond knurling sells simply because it has a sexy premium look and feel.
E-switches are the future. USB charging is a gimmick that unnecessary rises the production cost. But as Tom E stated it’s difficult to make a good e-switch. Emisar and Zebralight are examples of (very) good e-switches. Fireflies however is an example how it went horribly wrong. The switch on their lights is so small and so mushy it’s almost impossible to use the light wearing winter gloves.
It’s a shame no producer yet has made a e-switch, ramping, single emitter non-hotrod light, with boost/buck driver as premium option.

Agree. 21700. The smooth design is fine and a nice change.

P.S. The new S11 looks great!
26650 or 18650
i have 6500k 4000k 3000k
Does it support protected 26650s/18650s?

I will launch, S2+ 21700 later
22mm driver
125V 10A forward switch
yes ,it can run on protected lithium battery ,too
I will be buying one of these. This would be awesome in an S2+ size light even though it may not handle heat real well.

Sorry for my poor english.
Vg15s can be easily moded with 20-21mm boost driver and 6v led.

Simon, Great that the 21700 light is coming!
I have put a 21700 in the Convoy BD01 and that fits fine lengthwise, so I expect that this will be fitting in the S11 too.
I hope that you also will have Biscotti drivers for XML2, XPL LEDs for the S11 / S2+ 21700, similar to the 18650 S2. I don’t always want XHP LEDs.
And OP and SMO reflectors similar to the M1/M2 lights
I like the look of that new S11, will definitely be purchasing one of those. 26650 and/or 21700 would be very nice. Either way, the plain cylinder shape is perfect.
It will be sold after chinese newyear.

You speak well. S2+ with 21700 will be great !
www.diodek.pl Convoy, Astrolux etc. flashlights test and more. My YouTube channel.
Simon are you planning to make quad emitter versions of the S2+ 21700 or will it be compatible with quad carclo optics?
sorry ,can not be changed this time ,
i will launch another version – S11 with SST40 and ramping driver
yes ,i’m ready to buy some lens and make appropriate changes for the head,
More good news than bad
