【convoy】H4 and B35AM options are updated

I like the look of that new S11, will definitely be purchasing one of those. 26650 and/or 21700 would be very nice. Either way, the plain cylinder shape is perfect.

Where is the link?

It will be sold after chinese newyear.

I’m VERY interested in this and I’m sure many others here will be too.

You speak well. S2+ with 21700 will be great !

Simon are you planning to make quad emitter versions of the S2+ 21700 or will it be compatible with quad carclo optics?

sorry ,can not be changed this time ,

i will launch another version - S11 with SST40 and ramping driver

yes ,i’m ready to buy some lens and make appropriate changes for the head,

More good news than bad

I love the design and obvious Convoy quality of this S11, just wish it was an e-switch. This light is a no-go for me without one.

I'd also love the see the quality, low cost, and clean design of the S2+ or S3 lights as e-switches. Guess part of the problem is to many makers, the e-switch upgrade also implies USB charging, which it doesn't have to. There's also a lot of aspects to implementing a good e-switch:

  • consistent action and feel
  • placement
  • not too stiff but protected and stiff enough to not accidentally turn on
  • must be easy to locate by feel

The S9 is close but I don't like the style,no ano color options, and think the switch could use improvements. I do though need to re-visit the S9. I bought one way back when they came out, but it's sat on the shelf since. The switch design - feel and action were probably the biggest issues I had with it.

On the other hand, I love the reverse clicky mechanical switch of the S2+ and hope to see it back on one of the 21700 flashlights. And the bright colors of anodization too

I’m very anxious to see the SST-40 and ramping driver, but SST40 is only cool white. I wish for warm tints. Hopefully it has a few useful mid-range currents (500, 800 mA) and not only fancy turbo.
Probably the ramping driver is suited for XML too, but more efficient than a 7135 Biscotti driver (Simon?). Then I can select the tints I like

26650… someone didn’t do his homework.

S2+ 21700 quad: I’m in for it, should be a great fet host, however knurling of any kind would be welcome, it’s a flashlight, not a dildo. Plus diamond knurling sells simply because it has a sexy premium look and feel.

E-switches are the future. USB charging is a gimmick that unnecessary rises the production cost. But as Tom E stated it’s difficult to make a good e-switch. Emisar and Zebralight are examples of (very) good e-switches. Fireflies however is an example how it went horribly wrong. The switch on their lights is so small and so mushy it’s almost impossible to use the light wearing winter gloves.

It’s a shame no producer yet has made a e-switch, ramping, single emitter non-hotrod light, with boost/buck driver as premium option.

These blunt statements seem more like opinions to me than they appear.

Yep.

Tail switches have one massive advantage compared to e-switches:
No standby drain.

There are some other advantages too, but less apparent and more complex to implement.

Maybe the e-switch part, mechanical switches are of course a thing.

But look what happened to the immensely popular H03 which costed only 25-30$. It seems as if they don’t produce it any more in favour of the magnetic charging version which cost a whopping 45$, that’s a 15$ extra for inbuild charging while a decent budget charger cost maybe 3$ and a DIY lipo charging module 50 cents.

I’m thinking the S2+ 21700 would be good with regulated buck driver. We already have the Emisars, Fireflies, FW3A for the high output FET lights. This can be a very efficient practical use light.

+1 on a 21700 with a solid regulated buck driver.

High output FET is fun for to play with for a while, but high sustainable output is what I’m looking for. Something like 500 to 1,000 lumens without throttling back due to heat would be outstanding.

The part bout e-switches I probably said, or least was think'n, two years ago.

Our ATtiny designs still draw too much in parasitic drain, but if we turn off all the bling, the draw is so low, probably bout the same as leaving a cell in a power switch flashlight.

Hi Simon,

Where can I find the link at aliexpress to get it from you.Gotten a few S2+ and loving it. Do drop me email.
