FandyFire HD2010, looks like will be 26650 compatible

The Fandyfire HD2010 from DX ist DD.

The Ultrafire HD2010 i don´t know. ;)

I have the UF HD2010 incoming form easylightbuy. I'll update this thread when it arrives. I was looking at 2x26650 and the new Sky Ray king 4x18650... and they just seemed too big for me to pack-carry. This light will be replacing my 2D MAG ROP incan builds (Fun DIY builds, but theyre just too big and heavy). So we'll see how this goes 8^)

$35 shipped is the best price I could find, for a light with this feature-set. I kind of prefer the gun-metal gray too.

I finally received mine from DX and I have to say I am still impressed by this 26650 light. It has a very wide and deep reflector which throws very well. I like it better than my XM-L DBS. Quality wise it's a little rough especially finish wise, but I don't care since I paid only $35 for it and it does what it's supposed to. Here's a quick and dirty video I took of it indoors cycling through the 5 modes. I'll try to do an outdoor video later. http://www.youtube.com/embed/VfWhDHZbPfI

Ordered. Easylightbuy has some darn good prices!

Yell Love the26650.

I am very glad to see all moving to the 26650!

Charger save your $'s no need if you have a 18650 charger.

So you can use an 18650 charger for 26650s?

If 26650 fits in the charger, then sure. It's going to take longer to charge 26650 than 18650, but it should work without problems.

Cool. And that battery gives more runtime or current? Runtime, right?

Correct. Do a search and read up on king kong 26650, people say it's great. I haven't tried it myself, but I'm seriously pondering the thought.

Correct & correct on both accounts... depending on the specific cells in the comparison. To generalize across the board (26650 -VS- 18650 pros/cons) however would be incorrect, as there can be exceptions. Heres the charging setup I have been using for the last ~1.5-2 years. I have had no problems with over / under charging, cell capacity or longevity.

Kramer, would you mind measuring the inside diameter of the tube as precise as you can? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Just found a 3X XM-L T6 version.

Our very own Mr.Bright.Lights left a brief review:

Thanks, I wonder how bright this really is compared to the other triple xm-l lights out there. I guess they use a drop-i like this:

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/xm-l-t6-3-led-5-modes-1800lm-smooth-aluminum-drop-in-led-module-w-temperature-control-114013.

not very - there are reviews here - beamtech

Theres some pics floating around the www and its just a spring loaded drop in with no thermal conduction path for the heat.

The 1x xml: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/fandyfire-hd2010-cree-xm-l-t6-600lm-5-mode-white-led-flashlight-1-x-18650-107154?item=22

and 3x xml: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/fandyfire-hd2010-xm-l-t6-5-mode-1800lm-3-led-white-flashlight-w-strap-black-1x18650-1x26650-120677?item=19

which better? Gonna buy one of these. :D

Hmmm,

So if you had a free choice between the FandyFire HD2010 (3 x LED) and Shadow JM-07 Pro, which one would you choose? (Which one is brighter and has better runtime?)

I would get the first one.

I am not a fan of spring floating drop-ins, with no heat transfer path for the LED.
