Copper S2+ limited edition

WOW!
I want!

That would be nice, but I only want the 18350 tube.
In any form or shape, but smooth would be best!

Yeah that would look really cool.

add me in Simon for something great.

totally smooth without the knurling and rings,i mean this

Sounds great! :+1:

nice and simple yes….I am in then….

I am in, too.

What batteries does the S2+ take, protected or unprotected? Button top or flat top?

Simon, is it possible to get Nichia 219C 2700k tint in this light ?

It would look like a simple tube then.
Perhaps slightly larger diameter for the tail and head?

Oh, this tint is too warm,
Rare people need it,

They are all suitable,

I haven’t owned 1000’s of lights like some here have so I can only speak to my own experience. I have more than a few smooth finish lights. A few in stainless and a few copper and brass. Have ya’ll tried to use these smooth lights on a regular basis? It’s pure hell I tell ya. They spend more time on the ground than they do in my hands. They are jewelry, not practical at all. The only reason I have them is because nobody I knew wanted them. If they did take one they brought it back right quick.

I suppose if you just want a pretty light and don’t plan on using it then, I get it. That would make much more sense. Not putting down a non-knurled light at all. There is one sitting right next to this keyboard. I would never carry the darn thing, though it is really pretty to look at. I have knives that serve no useful purpose other than to look pretty so I can relate. I also don’t sharpen them either.

but i would perhaps consider buy this light for this kind of tint, otherwise i think not maybe… after i got the d4s with 3000k tint it would be fun go even lower hehe. so consider it simon

I’m sure many will buy this indeed as jewelry, in fact 195 out of my 200 flashlights get no use, but I see your point: also in my opinion it is a proper idea that in principle a flashlight should be made to use it and not just look pretty. A way to avoid knurling is of course to increase the machined rings and grooves on the light, i.e. like foursevens did with the copper preon p1 (which I do not neccessarily like, too regular ringing, they could have had a bit more fantasy)

Please do it!

That Preon is really nice looking. I had one, don’t remember why I got rid of it. I reckon I should have kept it.

I understand the minimalist knurling idea for show off lights. There is a bit of joy in getting them off the shelf or out of the drawer for a good polishing and playing with for a little bit.

I would love it! As an option for us tint snob.

Can someone post a picture of a smooth light? I’ve never seen one.
I think a smooth copper S2 would look like a water pipe. Not good.
