I’m running out of lights soon (two sets left), but ordered some more S2+ and BLF348. Also got ordered a couple of Convoy C8+ with 4000K CRI90 Nichia 219C. If someone wants check the integration properties of their sphere with a throwier light this could be a good option. It can also replace the BLF348 in a set.
Unfortunately with the C8+ the package will exceed the maximum thickness of 30mm for a small letter so the shipping costs will be a little higher. Around 7-16 € more depending on the buyer’s country. Also the light itself is pricier than the other two. That’s why I just got two for now. S2+ and C8+ together as a set would be 81-90 €.

No, Dale took pity on me and is sending a nice calibrated lumen tube. It’ll put my “integrating milk carton” to shame, and eliminate the need to use my other device, the “integrating bathroom”. I also finally ordered some calibration lights to go with it, which might be here by the end of the month.
So… I’m basically joining the club because I got a kick in the pants. But, like, in a nice way.

I didn’t think Dale had a spare integrating sphere/lumen tube. I think TA did. That’s why I wasn’t sure. Anyway, I see Dale is talking about building a new one. Maybe he’s giving you the one built by Manx Buggy. If so, it is a the pvc unit with no diffusers. It tends to read a bit higher for throwy lights compared to floody ones. Then again, he might have built you one from scratch. Oh well, tell us about it when you get it. I’m curious. :+1:

More specifically, Dale and the brothers R decided I needed one, so they made it happen. If I understand correctly, it’s a brand new lumen tube and meter, full of diffusion sheets, calibrated with maukka lights, which should read out lumen numbers directly on the meter with no multiplier.
Of course, things may settle and shift a bit during shipping, so I’ll most likely recalibrate it myself to be sure. I needed to get some calibration reference lights anyway… so both tube and lights are on the way.
It’s a pretty huge upgrade from my current gear.
Maukka I was wondering. Do you have to recalibrate your sphere each time you use it with that “Lisun’s SLS-10W standard light source”. The reason I ask is some how I have found my 3” lumen tube way out of calibration again and I am not sure why. Everything is in the exact same place it has always been. The tempreture in my shop is up a little right now, but for most every test I do I put the lights and batteries in the house for a day before testing. I understand that absorbtion has to be calibrated for, but I’m even getting a different set of numbers on the same lights (such as the calibration S2+).
