Or maybe its just a wishful thinking?

Description says 2.5 amps in Turbo, is this really true?
Need more juice than that.
Hoping this is just cut and paste from BLF GT specs.
Thanks!

This is a direct drive flashlight (I assume it has a simple FET+7135 driver just like the GT mini), and even more so than with 18650 lights, the actual drive current depends on which 14500 you use, and it makes a big difference if it is fully charged or not.
2.5A sounds like a proper current for a 14500 driving a XP-L hi. You can get higher currents with low voltage leds like the SST-20, or the White Flat (which will be my mod).

I’m glad they skipped the nimh.
Is there a spring on the driver end? My recently acquired Vapcell 14500’s doesn’t work with some button head drivers.
Thought I signed up for this, but I don’t see it in my subscriptions, so I’m in for 1 NW please
