I would hope to get 16A into it with a good low IR cell and FET driver. From Texas Ace’s test of the 6V XHP50.2, at 8A, or 4A per die, the voltage is 6.78V. So with all dies in parallel it should be about 3.39V at 4A per die, or 16A total. So this should be doable if the total circuit resistance (including cell) is 50 mOhms.
welight - thanx for posting here! I ordered qty 2 bare w/free shipping. could you explain what shipping service is used? How long approx. to the US?
EasyB - didn't think bout 16A, but it all makes sense. Getting 4000-5000 lumens from 1 LED and 1 cell with one of our simple FET drivers is pretty cool! Basically the mod could be done as a simple LED swap to an existing XM-L2 FET light we have now, just a lot more heat.
Yea i defiantly will next time i am down.
I went 3 years in a row to the bodybuilding comp there but i stopped when they changed the date to the same weekend time as the F1 its busy for me. Before it was on Moomba festival weekend. Around the same time there is the Phillip island classic that’s worth a look also, I’d love to go back.
What a nice emitter, great find! Too bad this isn’t kaidomain or arrow, the shipping costs deter me from ordering it (although the costs are kind of understandable from AU to my location - just not worth it for 1 LED).
I have a xhp50.2 in a eagle eye x6 with 6v driver and two 18350’s. Aboslutely love it. Insane amount of light and pretty ok throw from a small flashlight. Awrsome. Only trouble is the runtime. Depletes extremely fast of course.
Iv’e been dreaming about a 3v xhp, but didn’t think it would ever be made. So this is kind of christmas for me
Ordered 6 leds on 16mm mcpcb. Git free shipping option to norway. Joy!
Then i decided i wanted to buy 2-4 bare leds, but now i don’t get the free shipping option for some reason.
