Test/review of TrustFire IMR18650 3000mAh (Red-gold) 2019

TrustFire IMR18650 3000mAh (Red-gold) 2019

Official specifications:

  • Rechargeable 18650

  • It has no memory effect

  • Supports up to 1000 recharges

  • Protection against short-circuit and overload

  • Capacity 3000mAh 3.7V Li-ion

  • 6,7 x 1,8cm (diameter x height)

These 18650 batteries are directly from Trustfire and rated for very high current with a decent capacity.

The two cells matches fairly well and can deliver some current, but at high current they get rather hot.

Conclusion

The batteries are good, but cannot deliver anywhere near the rated 50A, it is more like 10-15A continuous.

Thank you for the review.

So in the words of A. Lincoln:
You can Trust some of the Fire’s some of the time.
But you still cannot Trust all the Fire’s all the time.

i think 50A is rated pulse current( or peak current) at very short time

i wonder what is under the wrapping?

More likely short circuit current, but I am NOT going to test that.

Taking into account the appearance of the positive poles (general appearance, number of legs, short overview of the CID/Venting System) and negative (grain of the metal surface, little information on this side, the withdrawal of one of the wraps of one of the tested cells would have affirmed or invalidated my assumption for sure because the Samsung have a punch, not the Sony) as well as the results obtained by HKJ (performance, temperatures, discharge capacities, etc.) all seem to indicate to me that These are Samsung model cell rewraps INR18650-30Q or 30QM (which is the same cell but manufactured in Malaysia).

In my opinion
Discharging and positive pole, looks like Sony VTC6

Thanks HKJ!
