What blade did you EDC today?

Would you still buy it again now that youā€™ve had a chance to play around with it?

Over been eyeballing it, but typically I dont spend more that $50-60 for knives. This is very stylish and seems like it has rapid deployment. Anything you donā€™t like about it?

I have been really enjoying this blade. That being said I consider it more of a fidget toy than a knife. Just last night I was flicking it for an hour straight while just hanging out on the couch, no TV, no phone, just zoned out in thought and and the soothing flipping action of the knife.

Iā€™m a very light user and of course it can handle opening the envelopes and boxes at work but if Iā€™m going to break down a bunch of cardboard Iā€™d prefer something more stout.

Overall itā€™s a fun knife and cheap compared to a Brad Zinker custom but still slightly over priced @ $120 IMO (because Brad has to get his cut  ). Iā€™d feel better about recommending it if it was under $100. If you want a ā€œworkingā€ knife Iā€™d pass, if you want something fun itā€™s worth a look.

I have been looking at it, not sure that I am willing to drop that coin on it or not.

Cheap, fast and barely legal:

Not too bad knife laws in Austria at least

Victorinox Handyman, TwoSun TS111

Thatā€™s a pretty CF handle slab on the TS111! :+1:

Piston ā€œkickstopā€ flipper for me (review here):

Itā€™s a beast. Built like a tank and weighs about the same as well.

Yes, thereā€™s some size and weight difference compared to the smaller version for sure!

Nice looking knife. :+1: Love the scales.
Is it a Spyderco or a clone?

Itā€™s a clone. I wasnā€™t prepared for how big it is however. Not that I dislike it but, I should have paid more attention to weight and dimensions. Itā€™s found a good home in a go bag. I would need bigger britches to tote that thing around, suspenders maybe as well.

Thanks for that info. That does sound rather large for pocket carry on a regular basis.
I am gonna take a closer look at the smaller oneā€¦ā€¦

TS20 :sunglasses:

I really wanted to like this one, but ugh it just feels SO cheap. I donā€™t know if the oneā€™s they sell with higher end materials have a better action but this certainly doesnā€™t have the fidget factor I enjoy in a knife.

Thanks for the heads up. I had this one in my cart for a while.

Iā€™ve looked everywhere I know to look for this one but canā€™t find it. :person_facepalming:

What is it & where can I find it? Link appreciated if yaā€™ have it.

@ rcwiily: What do you mean by ā€œfidget factorā€??

Is the action not smooth? Is the build quality crap? Fit nā€™ finish bad?

Iā€™d really like to know, because this one is ā€œcallingā€ to me. :money_mouth_face:

I like knives that are fun to open and close and just keep my hands busy. This guy is painful to release the liner lock on and the muted plastic sounds give it an overall unsatisfying feeling.

The scales look and feel like cheap plastic. It has ceramic bearings but they are housed in nylon washers so the action feels mushy.

/\ ā€¦ Thanks for the info rcwiilyā€¦ā€¦ :+1:
