My first priority for knurling is grippiness.
I have a Convoy X3 on my desk at the moment. Comparing it with an S2+, the X3’s knurling is much grippier and still looks good. I vote for X3-style knurling on future lights.
The S2+ with Biscotti and 4000K 95CRI SST20 LED is really nice, by the way. It’s my belt EDC now

I much prefer the first Simon’s idea over any big shape (square, diamond, whatever) knurlings that are horrendous (to me) :
…[cut]…
I don’t meant to make a smooth surface.
I just want to change a style, on the one hand, it will improve the product yield, on the other hand, keep the original feel of grip.
For example, I can change it to the following
hodor:
Snap :+1:
Agree, that is a tasteful knurling to me

+1 X3 style
It looks boring, but still better then the other designs and seems practical.

Simon,
Not sure if anyone asked you already this question but as you are already working on new S2 host maybe its a good time to ask.
Would you be able to produce a 18350 style headlamp with the head and reflector in the middle?
something like this (TN-20)
or this (EHL0628)
or even like this (S3 “eebowler”)
any chance on codes for 580 lumen convoy s9?
I need 12 asap

what about S9 2500mA version 900-100lm
@Simon , that headlamp looks amazing!
Would it be possible to order with SST-20 4000k?
If so, it would be awesome!

What’s the UI on this? Long press for off, or single click? Will this be available with the 219C?
Maybe, though these are intended for regular non flashlight geeks…
So I am concerned about heat…and cost to an extent…
Last time around I think I managed $16 or something (i’d have to look that up) Best I see is $18

Still, thank you a lot!
I’ve been waiting for a Convoy headlamp for such a long time.
I love your lights’ user interface, build quality, and easy modification.
Is it easy to open for modification?
Thank you again.

I would love an 18350 tube for that headlamp, instant buy.
1 Thank
Looks like a screw-down bezel on that headlamp? Should be easy to swap emitter/MCPCB right?
Is the driver easily accessible for modding as well?
