Another 'Help identify these cells' thread

Can anyone help identify these 18650 cells? I pulled these from a Dell laptop battery pack that had a failed board on it. These cells seem to have a very low internal resistance as they are able to provide 4+ Amps to a DD XM-L...

Printed either very faintly on or under the red overwrap:

  • The single letter "D"
  • A code common to these cells: "MKTM4C9"
  • A second numeric serial(?) code; two sample codes: "087006" "054179"

Ideas?

I'm quite sure it's sanyo 2600mAh cell.

You should be able to see something like UR18650F engraved in plastic - try shining at it with a light from a side for it to be more noticeable.

It 100% is sanyo, but not 100% the 2600mAh. Check the notes on pack itself - if it's e.g. 4800mAh then it has 2400mAh cells, 5200mAh = 2600mAh cells et cetera.

Looking closely, I see an engraved (not printed) "N02A" on the overwrap. I can't see referenced "UR18650F" etching anywhere on the packaging. I was just curious as these provided more current for the DD emitter than any other cells I own, including new TrustFire 3000mAh cells.

its a Sanyo 2600mah cell 'cause of the light blue ring

100% positive its the sanyo 2600mAh . I've got quite a few of them.

I got these blue ones off a dell battery. Their blue flat tops with +/- denoted on plastic. Says, “CF INR18650 3.7V”. Second roll says, “0 A025 2053J”
