fwiw, it shows that to enable strobe does not require going to maximum, same is true for my Eye10
One of the features I like about the RRT-01 is that the strobe can be dimmed too
I really like my old RRT01. It’s the best ring-control light I’ve tried, and I got really lucky with the tint. 5000K and it seems to be right on the blackbody line. It just needs low voltage protection and a battery check mode instead of SOS.
With an Oslon White Flat emitter installed, the new RRT01 could become a very popular light. With such a throwy beam, it would really stand out.

I have Keepower Unprotected 1200mAh and it works in my original RRT-01, so I suspect it will also work in the new RRT-01
otoh, my Keepower Unprotected 750mAh does not work (the button top is wider)
if you want the option to use Protected… the new model does
still no battery check, but now theres a strobe

I just got mine and can’t wait to get home and mod it with a Nichia 219b 4500 LED.
I noticed the LED already in it does not have a dome. Should I de-dome the Nichia as well?
No, do not dedome that LED. It has a small enough die and great beam for this type of EDC light.

E21A if Clemence makes a retrofit “kit”, depending on the beam type he can achieve.
I would choose a single LH351D over a triple if you want floody.

I just got mine. Other than off and turbo, I don’t have detents on the ring, it’s just smooth.
My V11R does have a far better feel when turning the ring. Was there a post how to disassemble the light, so I can regrease the ring?

Not really actually. The ring action doesn’t feel nice. It has some scratches out of the box and the clip is made out of tin foil.
Guess it needs some modding love, for now I like my V11R better.
After much looking and inquiry, I found one! A lovely TCR1! Amazed these aren’t discussed more often. I am not usually a big fan of titanium, but this light is sublime, IMO.
