Thank you Hank for another facinating light! I’m so thankful for your work and look forward to this in my hands! You are very creative!
Yes, please,
Beam angle?
Can the black mask on top be removed or does it help keep optics in place?
Will it be possible for advanced user to replace LEDs? No glue, etc?
Wow. Take my first born money.
Hank Wang: sp5it:I predict 189$
Lower than $100.
That’s fantastic! This is a definite buy.
I agree, I’m in! Hoping for blue, that went fast in the D4!
Thanks for the m43 comparison shot.
+1 to source LED options on or below BBL, especially for high cri.
Regarding length, seems similar to m43. Doesn’t the boost driver in the m43 occupy alot of space?

That is very good news Hank. Paypal ready :+1:

Hank I understand there is no AUX LED at first, and some people do not want, but is there any plan to add it because personally I love the D4S AUX LEDs.
Either way I want one soon :). Very nice work
Oh and it’s a screw down bezel without glue correct?

Can you please show us the complete teardown of the light? We want to see the components and fit and finish..
is the electronics made in China? Ramping UI?
The switch on the NOCTIGON looks better and the lanyard hole should be in the tailcap not on battery tube
The NOCTIGON is gorgeous light..
Beautiful light, I love the design. Maximum lumens and efficiency with minimum size and price. I dislike charging ports and am glad you left that out. And nicely done with those individual optics, a great solution. Thanks, Hank!
14000L any lux estimate?

I would make an intelligent aux board for it, but for that I need a sample
As for me, this is the optimal configuration:
3x18650
18xXP-L HI 3A
Without AUX led
Black
100 $ hmmm
Agreed!
I love XPL Hi 3A in my D4S.
I'm sorry, but I can't NOT see it in this light. It just reminds me of all the trypophobia pictures.
P.S. Googling that may be upsetting to some. Pomegranates trigger it in some people...
Also, someone defend this against MT03 TA Devourer. I was planning to get one of those...
I agree with Komeko: XP-L HI variant would be awesome. Though expensive.
Other interesting options:
- Osram CSLPM1.TG - very very bright and still somewhat throwy. Expensive
- Osram CULPM1.TG - may be even better than CSLPM1.TG but requires a different MCPCB.
- Samsung LH351D - very very floody, very very bright. Great lm/$.
