I find 3 lumen low pretty ideal for general use on a keychain. you don’t always use these in pitch black, so a bit more is alright.
If it had firefly/moon, I actually would have preferred a 3rd low mode at 8-10 lumen, but that’s what the thrunite ti3 and astrolux a1 are already doing.
but yeah, for me the BLF low-high version would be nicer.
But ideally, it should work like in that old discontinued pre-2014 Thrunite AAA twisty light: head fully tightened for max, slightly loose for low, unscrew further for off. That would be ideal. Too bad I missed this light back then, would buy 5 of these.
1)Yes it seems like there is going to be one, 200 pieces without anodisation (took half a year to convince them that there are people who actually would want an unfinished flashlight), but no confirmation about low first yet. Btw, I’m not going to arrange a dedicated group buy for this, I’d be ok with that it just goes for sale at the Sofirn store.
2 and 3) based on a longterm discussion about the C01, I believe a no-ano version is nice as a BLF-special, and it is clear from the poll that most people want the mode order to be low->high so that is what I asked as well. Sure there will be endless other possible versions thinkable (my own preference would still be purple  ) but I think this version is a good choice that many will appreciate.
This not about clear ano, but no ano at all. This will look and feel more rough because it is in fact what comes straight out of the CNC machine. That is why they don’t get why we want this .
I think that the beauty of a rough and used tool does not fit in chinese culture.
Barry confirmed that low->high will be possible, he asked for what lettering it should have and I suggested C01S BLF no-ano edition, or if too long C01S BLF edition, or if too long C01S BLF Ed. Any objections or better ideas for the text?
