I agree that rude or offensive comments arenât helpful and so do the rules of this forum.
I donât agree that thereâs anything wrong with people using real examples of past products and experiences to predict output values or possible new experiences. So long as anyone kept on point and didnât fall into an emotional rant against the manufacturer based on their feelings there is absolutely nothing wrong with using factual information from the past to try and make predictions.
Moreover, especially when weâre talking about the most expensive flashlights you can buy from places like BG I think itâs actually a responsibility to help educate potential buyers rather than gloss over a seriously flawed history.
How would you feel if you went to a forum that specialized in reviewing small production run specialized cars that cost $150 000 and everyone on that forum fully endorsed a new car because the initial results from the mfg prototypes were finally accurate to the stated claims. Then afterwards if something goes wrong you do a little digging and find out that repeatedly that same mfg that was endorsed strongly was scarred with issues across multiple products and had a significant amount of legitimate customer service complaints which were simply denied by the mfg.
Weâre not talking about an up and coming mfg like Fireflies whoâs had some issues with their first run of products. Weâre talking about a company thatâs been in the game long enough and had multiple successions to their entire lights series yet have such a bad track record there is actually a BLF poll for people to verify if theyâve had QC issues with Imalent.
Trolling isnât helpful to anyone but suggesting that people donât dig up the the past just because for the first time ever Imalent appears to have accurate output specifications?
Imalent appears to have taken a big step in the right direction:
-accurate output specs
-changes in design that respond to community feedback
Imalent appears to want to fix their reputation which means Itâs also important they understand how damaged it really is. The more Imalent feels the need to rectify past mistakes and win back customers whoâve denounced them in the past, the more likely they are to continue making changes in the right direction.
Itâs not out of line to suggest that a manufacturer who denied legitimate warranty claims wouldnât revert back to their old habits if they start believing all they have to do is produce one good series of products to undo years of bad customer service and bad quality products.
The MS18 is super impressive in that comparison with the X70 assuming the X70 is running on turbo. It out throws the X70 by at least double. However, I donât see the hotspot for the XHP35HI in the X70, which makes me wonder if it is even turned on.
I never said you a liar. For example as i can remember you measured your R90C 21000 lumens. I got on mine just above 15000 lumens what most guys on my side got as well. Is it not perhaps something to do with the lux meter.
