[Optisolis/E17A/E21A] Jetbeam Jet-µ

Please, let me know, when you have the interest thread. I would be still in in for at least 2 (or 3) JetuE21A and JetuE17A as a finished modification. (I would grab a phosphor converted red E17A without further questions  )

For further pieces, I might only go for a modification kit, if there is no glue to fight against (and there is an easy-to-follow modification guide).

The shipping cost is very high. Maybe it would be possible to arrange bulk shipment of the entire batch to some place with lower rates and then re-ship to individual buyers?
How about using a different host? Sofirn C01?
Cryptocurrency? Enable users to pick: convenience of PP or lower price of Crypto.

on a side note. Clemence, did you see the tool AAA ships with a pebbled tir and some osram led now?

Still hesitant, but stocking another 100pcs should be safe

Indeed it’s very high. Actually there’s not much difference but the weight bracketing. Used to be 30gr minimum, now changed to 100gr.

Yup, but from what I’ve seen, Tool doesn’t have flat regulation. Only few AAA such Fenix and Jet-U has a usable sensible mode flat regulated.

Interested in an interest thread

BTW, adding more context:
Clemence, I never purchased anything from your shop.
Several times I had LEDs and/or PCBs in the cart, ready to buy. But I never went past the checkout. Shipping pushed the price way too high.

I put the link in my store so everyone can check what is the real shipping cost. I just add the extra rounded numbers for fuel and toll way required to ship the orders. Sometimes I use pick-up courier (more expensive) but mostly I drive there myself (46km back and forth).
Some of my customers also received shipping refund if I succeeded in ultralight packing attempt.

I’m not blaming you for high prices. When it happened for the first time I was disappointed - in my mind I’ve already seen the stuff in my lights. Later I knew what to expect but added stuff to calculate the total - and that was too high. I recognise that for some people shipping is more costly than for others. I just wanted to highlight that it really makes an impact on the amount of small orders that you get.
Out of curiosity, how are roads around your place? How much time do you need to travel to a post, ship stuff and go back? 46 km is a lot even when roads are good…

Also, do you always ship with tracking? Maybe untracked shipping would enable some savings?

All shipments come with tracking although economy service is not as real time as EMS service. I know, ever since shipping increased, my sales decreased significantly.

The roads are mostly okay, 60km/h moving average off peak hours. 110 - 125km/h in the 8km toll way is achievable depending on wind speed/direction and sea level. Sometimes strong side winds mixed with sea water splash prevents motorcycles from running more than 40km/h. But driving problem mostly come from other stupid road users and….crossing dogs/puppies/chickens/cats. 30 minutes per trip is normal.

Hmmm FPV post office tour video seems interesting to make….

It’s also one of the least efficient LED lights I’ve seen test data for. Maukka’s data indicate ~50 lumen/W for the copper, clicky switch version, and less than 30 lumens/W for the titanium, e-switch version.

That’s on high. The 219B Tool did better on medium at around 70 lumens/W, but the JetuE21A results you shared previously were something like 75 lm/W on high.

The Tool looks like a really nice form factor, but the driver seems to be lacking.

JetuE21A D240 R9080 bin produce max 79 OTF lumens at 0,6353 watt (230mA x 2,762V) = 124,359 lumens/watt
Current draw measured at 860mA . But using this figure we get:
(1,2V x 0,86A) = 1,032watt
79lm / 1,032watt = 76,55sys lm/watt

more or less the same…

Im interested in either/both more completed E21A/Optisolis lights or modules for at-home installation.

An RRT01 module is very tempting too…

@Clemence, do you really have to pay for 92km of fuel and time?

No wonder it’s so expensive(relatively) and the prices went up as you’ve said before.

Is there a way we can buy LEDs/lights from you in bulk since it would make shipping/pcs significantly less expensive?

Also, what kind of greed justified going from price brackets in 30g to 100g?

Nooo, you got me wrong. 46km roundtrip, 23km per trip. Its really nothing, really. My scooter fuel consumption is about 48km/liter.
There are plenty of smaller post office branches near my area but…. I only want to ship via central post office in Denpasar to make sure if something happened with the packet I can easily track or get the refund. Another thing is only big post offices “understands” how to input the new e-packet service. This e-packet is slightly cheaper but very fast compared to normal registered service. It’s a shame but this is the reality.
Bulk orders? No problem, some flashlight manufacturers from US regularly bought Nichias from me. Same volume discount apply.
The 100gr min weight price bracketing is indeed frustrating. This caused by the aviation fuel increase recently.

My RRT01 still enjoying it’s yacth trip from China :expressionless:

im interested and the interest list.
I am in London if I can help also with anything.

posted a thread on CPF to help spread the news:

I hope nobody minds that I borrowed, and rehosted, your images

I use an aspheric lens from a $2 skywolf aaa zoomie. Actually I have bought some just to use their lenses in the Clemence’s ’lights

This seems like the best place to ask:

Are the VR10S1 and VR10S1-757 planned to be restocked soon?

I’ve got a small order planned, and want to add a few of those, but if it will be a significant wait, I might as well order now.
