How much current do you need?
Where is the headlamp available? I don’t see it on the aliexpress site
H1? it’s sold on gearbest
Simon Mao: Lux-Perpetua:Hi Simon, do you plan to update Convoy M1 and M2 for 21700 size, too?
I am currently producing S2+ 21700 ,C8+ 21700 and L2 21700
Because these three are very popular.
As for M1 and M2, I need to observe the degree of demand in the market.Hi Simon,
What will the driver size be for the C8+ 21700? I have a 17mm L4P driver that I would like to install in that. And what colours will be available??
20mm ,
if many people use 17mm ,i will produce adapter
Where’s the ∅20mm version of this new SST-40 dubbed linear driver?
Important question too: is current output adjustable in it? I mean, like in the LD-25 driver where you could adjust it by soldering a wire to the set point at the back and tune the current by tapping the negative/ground.
Cheers
i’m not sure if i understand you correctly ,
this driver have ramping setting.
so you can set the brightness you need
Notes on the SP11 so far: I got it this morning.
Seems to be “forward clicky” - so I can do momentary on, but it changes brightness every time, also means that while the light is on, I can’t change modes. Probably best suited for a reverse clicky. I hope I’ve got those around the right way, basically, it needs to be what an S2+ is.
Driver is simple 4 modes plus hidden strobe. Could really benefit from Biscotti.
Tint shift - well, here’s a shot against my white roof with the light tail-standing on the floor (not calibrated, taken from phone - I really should get out an SLR):

Overall, it’s fun so far, but…. really needs reverse clicky and Biscotti or similar. (And a way to pump more amps in maybe )
i’m producing gray S11 with reverse switch,

Please produce adaptor, I’m sure many people will use 17mm driver from led4power.com

Thanks Simon, great to hear. I’ll have to get a replacement switch to swap out on this. Is the appropriate one on your store already?

What I mean is I want to precisely select maximum mode current. It seems it comes defined with a maximum of 8A, this can be nice for some emitters but let's say I want to drive an 1mm² CSLNM1.TG at ≈4.5 - 5A absolute maximum, nothing more.
Can I set the current like in the LD-25?
Thanks.

Yes, adapter please. I think many people like the choices available in 17 mm drivers
Please produce 20mm to 17mm adapter for C8+ 21700. Thanks
Mmmkay, here I go  again concerning the newer “SST-40” linear drivers:
Anyone tried these yet? The interface description somewhat leaves to be desired. I mean:
- Half press 2 times for mid 1.5A mode? This is because of on-time memory, doesn't it? I mean, if I switch on it goes into high mode, then if I wait the on-time lapse (maybe 2 seconds?) or more I need to press twice to change to mid 1.5A. But if switch on and then press again quick enough it goes into mid, isn't it?
- From mid 1.5A mode what if I press again once or twice to change to next mode? Is there a low mode or does it goes into high again?
- What does reset means? What does it?
Is it possible to set mode currents like in the LD-25?
Thank you for your colaboration. :-D

So what’s the deal with the new boxes? What happened to the nice branded ones?
I’m glad they were in bubble-wrap packaging bags…
Well, they always came like that, except the ones with metal switches. And maybe the L2 (i don’t have an L2, but saw pictures of an L2 package)
Ah, didn’t realise. Oops.

the tails of gray and black S11 are little different ,you can not change the switch directly ,friend

sorry ,it can not be set.
btw,i got 2pcs CSLNM1.TG samples today,i’m ready to install it in L2 ,maybe in L2 21700 version.
what’s the max current?
in offical datasheet, it’s 3A,
is it dagerous if i use 5A current?

According led4power up to 5,75A on DTP
Wow, i would like an L2 with this emitter

if you want to enter into the 2nd mode,
first,turn the flashlight on ,second,double half-press the button.no need to wait .
if the current mode is 2nd ,
half-press one time ,it returns to the 1st mode,
half-press 3times, it enters into 3nd mode
if you have set the brightness of 1st mode or 2nd mode ,but you are not satisfied ,and you want to return it to original state.then you can half-press the button 8times to reset.

Oh okay, guess I’m out of luck then. I need to read the item description more and not get carried away in future.

So, what you are telling me is the driver has only two normal modes: high (stock 8A) and low (stock 1.5A), and both can be set via ramping by tapping 5 times when using the mode. Thus, if I am on high or low and tap 5 times, I enter a 3 loop ramping where I can set brightness or the amount of mode current: whenever I tap when ramping the current is set at that level. An 8-tap sequence resets current for all modes.
Is this what you mean, Simon?
Hope the ramping is very slow or it will be hard to properly set the current.
Cheers ^:)
@Barkuti, I don’t think you understood what he meant.
The driver is a FET driver it seems, which is why the current draw depends on the internal resistance of the cell.
