This is great! It’ll be right in time for the summer hiking season. Any news on whether the final product will have usb C? I’m really hoping it does, it’d be great to carry a single cable for both the ft03 and LT1.
I really hope it does, at this point I’d rather have no charging then have to deal with micro usb, every mico usb cable I had always seems to fail at the worst moments.

Usb c is very important to me, micro is being faded out, type c is far superior.
I too remember somewhere around the $40 mark early on in the development of this lantern. That was just for a basic no frills lantern.
But what this has evolved into is far from a “basic no frills” lantern.
And the “estimated” price of $50, as stated in post #3759; is an absolute bargain!! (quote from post #3759.... "the manufacturer is estimating the cost to be around $50 per unit at this time" )
Remember folks, $50 is the estimate at this time.

DSBAR, I think you have done & are doing a stellar job with this project!! Thank you….
And as been mentioned before, thank you for NOT going the cheap route just to meet some mythical unrealistic idea of a budget lantern price.
This lantern is gonna be a game changer I think!!

Additions since 3/31. If you haven’t already done so please verify that your BLF name is correct on one of the 2 spreadsheets referenced in post #2. No valid name means no PM when they are sent out.
I want a cool white light about as much as I want Cool Ranch Soda.

For those verifying that their blf name is correct you must check one of the links on post #1. Those are the names stored in my database and will be used for generation of pm’s. The names are taken from the same table on both lists so you can use either one.
Thanks
Edited to change the post number to the correct one.

Are the links copied & pasted below from the OP (post #1) the ones we need to check?
…..
Next below, we will start an “ Interest List” with the help from sbslider, to gauge a number for when we can look into getting this lantern a reality into production. (with name, and number of lanterns interested in.)
( * Also updated by sbslider listed by number & name:
Ooops sorry….yes it’s post number 1. The files in the links are the correct ones and the names, etc are generated from my database. I’ll correct my prior post to fix the error.
