It sounds like a good idea. However, a single mode twisty seems less practical for a larger light. Another ui may not differentiate itself. Unsure how this would be implemented.
The stock UI of this light is already perfect its just the stock LED that can be greatly improve with a Luminus SST-20 95CRI and maybe a new unique color as a bonus?
I think Omega_17 is suggesting a BLF-edition SP10 V2, not a AA version of the C01.
That could be a high CRI emitter, and possibly a different firmware. Unfortunately, Narsil or Anduril would probably require a different driver, which is more work for Sofirn, and would likely mean 14500 batteries only - no AA support.
It would be a very interesting product, however.

I was going to get another, but the Jetbeam U is only $2 more… beautiful finish, anodizing, and I like the multi-mode. But I’m glad to have one C01.
Do you mean $2 more than the C01s?
I think the cheapest I’ve seen the Jet-u for is $14.

Love my c01 lights, though I wish the beam was a bit narrower. Super excited about the c01s. Have one so far but holding out on more until if/when they release a L-H mode order.
I bought one for $9, and a 2nd one for $10. Usually there’s a coupon floating around. For one I used a $4 off AliExpress coupon. The other was on sale.
You could ve used the coupon for the C01 also so its still the same difference

Actually sofirn change SP10 V2 to SP10S by using LH351D 5000K 90CRI, and same UI.
If you like a BLF version, I think use Anduril UI is cool. But it needs Toykeeper’s help and a interest list. 
Anduril, AA, count me in! 14500 only, meh.
Gizeh Magnets fit? Awesome. I harvest those whenever I find an empty pack. Was too lazy to research which magnet might fit the c01. This is perfect. Just wait and they will come to you for free.
Oh yeah. I will take three or four of these. AA/14500 SP10v2 with Anduril. Yeah. Perfect
Please make some other colors than red and blue. And make one with clear anodizing or in stainless steel please 
Look at the Astrolux A01, they have a pretty green, orange, purple, a nice grey…
Barry, guys….can we please move the discussion about SP10S and Andúril to the general Sofirn thread, see link below? I try to collate all the information into the corresponding thread about new lights whereas this thread should be about the C01 only.
