which one you prefer? TC66C or WEB-U2

I got a TC66C before and make a review for it. now I find a new USB tester called WEB-U2, they are similar but there are still many differences between them .

since WEB-U2 doesn’t has APP software(at least I dont see that in its introduction), I compare WEB-U2($31.50) with TC66($19.50 )
here are the same functions they have:
1.6-digit high accuracy;
2.quick charge protocol detection
3.offline data record
4.PC software
5.decoy-trigger function

And there are differences:
1.accuraccy:
WEB-U2: voltage accuracy:0.1%±nd current accuracy:range 0.1%±nd
TC66: voltage accuracy:±(0.05%+20digits at 23℃) current accuracy:±(0.1%+30 digits, at 23℃)
2.display
WEB-U2: 1.77inch TFT screen
TC66:0.96 Inch color IPS display
(welcome to add more  )
3.port
WEB-U2:USB-A
TC66:USB-C

they also have their unique function:
WEB-U2:
1.QC4.0 supported
2.APPLE PD charger SN series number detection
3.line-free plug-in to help determine weather the standard oppo charger
4.macbook real machine agreement capture
5.gravity sensing automatic rotary screen

TC66:
1.2 data group
2.load impedance value detection

and TC66C($24.50) has app control by bluetooth
I didn’t view WEB-U2 very carefully, maybe there are more details.
so which one do you guys prefer, welcome to leave messages

The TC66C is in a completely different class of device for USB-C.

It basically crushes it in almost any scenario.

The one thing I like is Dash Charge/VOOC compatibility in the W-U2.

I have U2 for few months. I have TC66C for 2 days and I didn’t have time time to play with all of its functions.

TC66C is better for recording stuff. It is smaller, software is better (functions and user friendliness), you can plug it between device and cable or between cable and charger, it is cheaper.

U2 is better for testing. It have bigger display, it is not only USBC, have wider support of charging protocols (when it is left in this mode it remembers it and several cables/chargers can be tested fastly and easily), can show min-max-avg values, have e-marker testing.

and also the TC66C can work in both directions
can be powered over USB micro so it does not interfere with the measured USB host

I see bi-directional current detection in the introduction of w-u2 too

thank you so much for your reply, it is helpful :+1:

yes, TC66C has no VOOC Dash protocol. :innocent: ,but what you mean “It basically crushes it in almost any scenario.”

For USB-C usage, it’s a better meter overall.

okey, thank you for your explanation

When you want to to Type-C exclusively, TC66(C) is the budget way to go for now.
If you want a little better PC graphing capabilities, get the Power-Z KM001C.

For more general testing, including Type-C, I think the WEB-U2 is better.

But, let me throw in another contender : WITRN-X-MFI, basically the WEB-U2 with added MFi-checking capabilities.

thank you, yes each tester has their unique functions and customer group. It depends on what we need.

How does the Web-U2 or WITRN-X-MFi compare to the ZY1276 or ZY1280 in terms of features?

there is a new USB tester you might be interested, AT35, new type based on AT34. higher accuracy , and displayed in five digits
you can have a look at it
