• My hasty Exel-Fu isn’t terribly off

… looks like at #1061 I should expect notification around 16:00 CST 2019/04/27.

And then someone PM’s me triggering an email I didn’t have the opportunity to fully read until now and I assumed that was the code and we were both wrong.

True, that. I generally stay far away from any tints that warm. However, it looks really nice in candle mode.

Now that I think about it, maybe I should get one just for that purpose.

… or of course I could keep using my Q8 for that, because it has a 3D-printed diffuser cap which makes the tint about 3000K warmer.

For “candle mode” I completely agree…. 7A would indeed be perfect for that.

Do I want to designate one FW3A soley to candle duty?? Because that is all I would use a 7A for.

I didn’t order this one because i didn’t get the PM yet, but i did order there before and when he sends it it the status will appear as “Fulfilled”

I’m also curious about how difficult it will be to change out the emitter.

As far as mods go, this one is pretty easy. It uses a standard triple MCPCB. So basically just unscrew the bezel, unsolder two wires, swap the board, connect two wires, and screw the bezel back on.

Well this maybe my first mod, I just have to find a suitable MCPCB, any suggestions? How about what NOT to use

As far as 7A candle mode, I’m having the same thoughts as TK and teacher. It would be really cool. But do I need a $36 candle? This is, of course, not the forum for that question. Everyone will say yes.
