Your test was biased on so many level that it made me “cringe” and in science an example is never considered as a proof or a demonstration.
“I can prove that a bullet isn’t lethal”…by shooting a part of the body without arteries and vital organs.
On earth ground, the lower the angle between the observer and the beamlight, the higher the rayleigh back-scattering. This applies to molecules (air), not particles (dust).
Which means that if you are holding the flashlight in your hand, you will have more Rayleigh back-scatterring than someone that is far away on your side. You will have less back-scattering when your are taking a picture on the side of the lightbeam than if you are close to it.
The farther on the side you will be, the better for your demonstration.
The rayleigh back-scattering intensity is greater with short wavelengths (blue) than for higher wavelengths (red), then a CW LED has more rayleigh back-scattering than a WW LED.
It also depends of the spectrum wavelengths absolute and relative intensities.
CW LED has more blue light absolute intensity than WW LED, but with a higher CRI at same CCT, the red wavelengths of a high CRI LED have more intensity than a med CRI LED = more throwy red.
Also keep in mind that when you are holding a flashlight in your hand, the receptor is your eye which doesn’t respond the same to a given spectrum than the receptor of a camera.
Your experiment was very interesting though but have too much relative parameters/variables to draw a firm conclusion like you did.
I am interested in adding an 18650 cell to my order. Any issues with shipping 18650 cells to Canada? Is there a risk in getting the package held up somewhere in the mail system?
The point is to not make the code public. It is clear that for such a huge list a small group of people may share the code, but overall it is a good concept. At least good enough to make this work for now.
Creating unique codes that match with the purchasing system and another set of codes for the 2nd and 3rd batches… - the people on here are doing this in their free time!
Please can someone kindly remind me if the LH351D dogfarts on Arrow are rosy or green tinted. I was down for two because I wanted one with LH351D but that doesn’t look likely so may swap in some myself.
I don’t think there is a real problem. Just make sure if the components fall out of the tailcap when you take it off, you know how & which order to put them back in.
Requesting to be put on the list for 1 more if its okay. Really prefer an LH351D.
I really want to thank all who worked on this light. I know it’s not healthy but recently lights have been making me really happy more so than other things. So I hope everyone who worked on this feel the appreciation/thanks from the bottom of my heart. Sorry for being cheesy or over-dramatic.
